Lucrative Article Marketing - Uncover 5 Reliable Methods to Advance with Article Marketing

If you have been using article marketing in promoting your products or website but can seem to generate the kind of interest and traffic that you were hoping for, let me help you increase the benefits you get - from increased page views, improved sales potential, and higher page ranking - by tenfold. Just follow these 5 reliable methods and you'll surely advance in this technique:

1. Anchor text vs. absolute URL. What are you using in your resource box? Based on studies and researches, the use of anchor text is more effective that using absolute URL. Aside from the fact that they look good on human eyes because they are based on keywords, they are also favored by search engines.

2. Make your articles scannable. Online users do have little time to spare when they search for information online. They appreciate articles that are scannable so they can easily skim through the information without spending so much time reading the whole article. Break your articles into short paragraphs and use bullet list to make your articles not only scannable but also easy on the eyes.

3. Maximize your resource box. Most article submission sites will allow you to use up to three hyperlinks on your author box. Take advantage of this to increase the chances of your website's URL being clicked.

4. Keep your resource box short. Remember, you are not writing another article. Keep it simple and direct to the point. Include your name, your expertise, and your "bait" - or the reason why readers should visit your website.

5. Give your articles compelling teasers. These will be shown, together with the titles of your articles, when an online user searched for your keywords. Tell your potential readers what is your article all about and how they can benefit from reading it.

List Building - How To Get Targeted Traffic To Your Squeeze Page?

There are different methods that you can use to build a list with one of the most common being to put an optin box on your website and offer your visitors a free gift for subscribing.

This is a good method and you should use it but one method of capturing subscribers that many Internet Marketers are now using is to build a squeeze page specifically for capturing your visitors.

A squeeze page is a page that is for no other reason than to entice your visitors to sign up to your list. You can do this by offering them some valuable information, gift or anything free in exchange for signing up to your subscriber list.

You can create your squeeze page so that it is a 'semi' sales page which you will use to 'sell' the free gift that you are offering so that your visitors won't be able to say no.

How to drive traffic to your squeeze page?

Write articles and submit them to article directories with high page ranking and mention your free giveaway in the resource box and you will have plenty of visitors coming your way.

It is also useful to visit forums relating to your free gift and have the link to your squeeze page in your signature.

When your subscriber list starts to grow you will have an immediate customer base to promote products to in the future. You can earn a lot more in income through sales when you have a good list to sell to. It is important to build up a good relationship with your subscribers and don't come across as a 'spammer'.

Gain their trust and they will be more than happy to purchase the products that you will recommend to them.

Powerful and Effective Link Building - Catapult Your Search Engine Rankings

One of the most powerful aspects of Search Engine Optimization is link building. Proper link building for the purpose of rankings uses Targeting Links. Targeting Links are one of the most effective approaches, as the links pass PageRank, and are already proven to rank your competitors. The Old School terminology for this approach is called Stealing your competitors rankings.

Top SEO Companies use this method when developing top-tier marketing strategies for their clients and even their own websites. It is also the most time consuming approach to link building, but it is one of the most powerful methods of producing results.

Define your keyword targets:
Each and every link you build needs to have a keyword target when using this approach. Target a single keyword first. See whos ranking in the top ten on your favorite Search Engine (SE) for this keyword or keyword phrase. All of those sites contain your link targets. The sites that link to them, their backlinks, are more powerful than any link that is built for the sole purpose of link popularity. These are targeted links and have much more power to rank websites. Now the keyword that these sites rank for is the Anchor Text that you want to use on your link on these targeted websites.

Now that we have your keyword target, we need to consider whether the link is really a quality link, or a spam site. Determining this is harder for the layman than the experienced marketer as some sites that show in the backlinks are obvious spammers or websites that are trying to make a buck from Pay Per Click advertising. As a general rule these have low or no PageRank (PageRank 0/10), and always have a ton of ads first. Ignore these links, as they will be temporary or detrimental to this process. Finding the quality websites in your competitors backlinks is very important. You need to weed out the garbage.

Choose the websites that have some PageRank and appear to be quality sites, if you find some sites in common when checking backlinks on multiple competitors, then those are the important links, and you should do whatever you have to do to get a link from it. Consider a reciprocal if all else fails.

Now the hard part, how do you get your link on their page next to your competitor? How can you get the link to you without returning it? Since everyone is so link popularity aware, you need to present a quality proposal to the webmaster to gain a link. You need to be a quality addition for the webmaster to want to add the link. Nowadays, its rare that any site will give a link without returning one. In 1999 before the Link Popularity Search Engines, this was not the case, webmasters linked to whoever they wanted to and paid no attention to reciprocal link exchanges. So how can we get a link without returning one?

Heres a smart approach. For any link that you are targeting, you really need to try and attempt to offer the webmaster a real reason on why he should add the link. Proving that your website is a valuable resource and one-of-a-kind, is a possible way to still get a free link, and a free targeted link is a powerful link. One-way links are important for any site as it is the model of the Authority Domains. These sites have hundreds to thousands of one-way links, and very few if any reciprocal links. So you should try through whatever methods of one-way link building that you want to use, to get these targeted links without reciprocating. But a reciprocal link is better than no link.

Combine this method with blind link building (random reciprocals links), press releases and even article writing (like this one) and your site will achieve better rankings, better traffic and if your site is truly effectiveit will prosper.

Article Marketing Tips For Supercharged Profits!

Article marketing when done correctly is a powerful website promotion technique. It is hardly a secret that most well-informed marketers and webmasters use article marketing as one of the many traffic driving techniques. We will take a closer look at the world of article marketing and some tips that will supercharge our traffic and explode our sales.

People use article marketing to post their ideas, views, opinions and knowledge about their pet topics. Article submission directories offer interesting reads and are rich sources of information to readers. They are like online new stands where you can read and even download any article you like except that they are free at article directories. This is mutually beneficial. Readers get their information and sometimes are entertained by the interesting snippets and funny jargons and style of writing authors use. Authors get to tell stories to their readers. Getting targeted visitors to their websites is the main reason for article marketing. What are some handy tips we can use to multiply our efforts?

1. Keyword and Content Research

Many webmasters and internet marketers fail to do a proper keyword and content research. There are many benefits in conducting these researches. They tell you what the market is searching for so that you can correctly target the right market. It is time and effort well-spent. You will also find that a targeted article will attract quality, buying traffic to your website and not just curious readers. So hang out at the forums and blogs to read what people are saying and looking for.

2. Hire a Ghost Writer

It is best if you can write your own content. However, if you are one of those who hate writing, do not let that stop you from using article marketing as a traffic generation tool. You can always hire a ghost writer to write for you. There are several places where you can get a decent writer at affordable rates such as Scriptlance, Elance, The Phantom Writers, Rentacoder and Killer Content. But make sure you ask for a sample article to check the quality. You may also head to Copyscape and do a quick verification if there is any plagiarism.

3. Private Label Rights Articles

There is such a wonderful source of content called private label rights articles. Most come in monthly packages from membership sites or can be bought one-off. Many people make the mistake of using them in their original unedited format in article marketing. Guess what? The search engines quickly size them up as duplicate content. So remember to modify them.

4. Submit To Multiple Distribution Channels

Submitting manually to hundreds of article directories and other distribution channels would take you ages. There are many paid article submission services that will post your article to article directories, newsletters and Ezines. Some examples are iSnare, Article Marketer and EzineTrendz. Depending on your budget size and desired profit margin, you can choose one that fits the bill.

Article marketing like any other marketing techniques is a numbers game. The more you expose your article, the more traffic you will enjoy. SEO And The Long Tail: Can You Optimize For The Occasional Visitor? Part 2

In part one of this article we discussed what the long tail of SEO is. We also went over some of the seo challenges that you face doing seo for the long tail. Here are the next things to do.

Segmented SEO to target your sub-niche

Now that you have discovered where your visitors and coming from and where they are going on your web site you can begin to target them with search engine optimization. Now that you know the sub-niche you can better target them with the keyword terms and phrases that they not only used to visit your site but also do the research necessary to find more terms in that sub-niche.

Here is an example: (these are all fictitious web sites)

Through your Analytics you notice that visitor are coming to your site in the following ways:

  • Using the keyword phrases
    • designer dog clothes,
    • hats for my dog,
    • vest for my puppy
  • They are coming from the web sites
    • designerdog.com/summer-line.html,
    • cooldoghats.com/custom-hats.html,
    • puppyattire.com/vests/designer/disney/red-vest.html
You notice that most of your visitors are looking for some type of designer or custom dog clothing. When you do some additional research you will find that there are several sub-niches in the designer dog clothes niche.

  • cheap designer dog clothes
  • designer dog coats
  • designer dog clothes UK (country specific)
Now that you have some phrases that consumers in the sub-niche use you can target those phrase specifically by adding content to your web site about that sub-niche. You can also start a PPC campaign to see how well those visitors convert into customers. You would give preference to higher converting keywords and phrases.

The biggest question now becomes is Segmented SEO worth the extra effort?

Targeting all of those low traffic phrases will eventually pay off buy when? How much will you have to spend to achieve the desired results?

With the efficiency that the search engines make information available and realizing that half of all the searches done on a daily basis are unique it will become necessary to do as much SEO for those "Long Tail" phrases as possible without taking away from your key traffic generating keywords. It will be an ongoing process but the main benefit is that as with most Long tail phrases achieving a high ranking isn't that difficult.

Best Practices for Segmented SEO (SEO for the Long Tail)

  • Use a good analytic program (Google Analytics is free to track your site visitors if you use adwords)
  • Look for trends and patterns in your web site visitors
  • Do additional keyword research on your target sub-niches
  • Use PPC to discover the most profitable keyword phrase in your sub-niche
  • Do SEO for your most profitable phrases first.

By Following these best practices you should be able to dominate your sub-niche and quickly gain a competitive advantage in your niche and larger target market.

Proven Article Marketing Strategies

As a marketer or online businessperson, you have probably researched over and over again what works, or what strategies have been proven great. That is part of being in business on the internet. Research and testing is a part of the gig. However, you may not have heard of some of these great article marketing strategies that have been proven to work time and time again. Here are some of the best strategies you will ever utilize to make your business greater.

Success Comes In Numbers -

The truth is that simply submitting one or two articles is not going to get you very far. Article marketing should be thought of more like a campaign. You have to get some good numbers up to start seeing activity coming from those articles, and most people have experienced a jump in activity at around 30 articles out. There is a simple formula to this: the more articles you use in your campaign, the better your business from those articles will be. In fact, many people make article marketing their primary source of advertisement. Using this strategy will help you gain traffic, credibility, and profits.

Be Subtle -

When you're submitting your articles to article marketing databases, you do not want to submit flat-out sales-type articles or ones that are full of hype. First of all, most sites will not accept them and secondly, consumers who are genuinely interested will probably click off of them. When people know that you are flat out trying to sell them something, they will not appreciate it! You will have much better results if you provide lots of information in your article and keep the mention of your product or service to a minimum. One to two sentences should be plenty.

Another thing that a lot of people do is compare several products or services with their own, so that consumers can see the many benefits of their products versus the other products. The link back to your site that goes in the byline of your article should be plenty to get the consumer to check out your product, especially if they see that your product has tons of great benefits.

Use Keywords Properly -

You would be surprised to know how many people don't have a firm grasp on SEO. They place keywords within the article as many times as they can within the text they have. That is another no-no. A good number of keywords is about 1 time per 100 words. This makes the article SEO friendly as well as easier to read for the consumers. When the same word is repeated over and over, it can really be confusing and choppy for the writers to read. Using the proper number of keywords will help the article read better and place better in search engine rankings.

Using these tips and ideas is a great way to make your articles a great success for your article marketing campaign. This means better success and more profit! You just can't beat that!

Start Your Internet Marketing Business The Fast, Easy And Painless Way

If you are just starting out looking to make money on the Internet, then this article will save you a lot of time, money, frustration and guesswork.

Here is why:

The key to making money on the Internet quickly and easily, without hassle...is to simply sell something to a market that is in dire need of something.

For example:

I have a relative with really bad asthma. So bad that he sometimes has to be taken to a hospital and put in an oxygen tent so he can breathe.

And let me tell you, he is desperate for something -- anything -- that will relieve his symptoms.

Here's another example:

There are lonely people all over the world desperate for a date or for someone to connect with.

Some of these people would do literally anything to find someone to love and be loved by, and are willing to shell out thousands of dollars on books and resources on the subject.

Another example is people who are about to have a baby.

This is a huge emotional period where people are both scared and excited, and actively looking for answers to hundreds of questions.

Do you see the idea here?

Don't try to sell things to people who are only marginally interested in a subject or are only slightly afflicted by a problem. Go for people who are emotional and even irrational about something -- like health problems, a special hobby (golf, for example, is a very passionate market), or a social problem.

Trust me, if you can find a market of people who have a burning desire or need for something, you almost can't fail if you sell them the right product for that desire or need.

List Building-Where Are Your People?

Sometimes we get all caught up in what we're doing. We spend a lot of time on just the right list building page to attract customers. We test our headline. We make sure the autoresponder is set up properly, and then... there's something we forget.

Our potential subscribers.

Who are these people?

List building for a specific audience--people interested in your niche is very important, even more important then all the testing and tracking, perhaps.

I mean, think about it. If you don't find the right people to target, where are you?

So, how do you find the finest list building audience? Easy. Do some research. Where do people with kids, for instance, hang out?

Well... how about newsgroups? You can go to Google Groups at http://groups.google.com, and come away with a bunch of groups that discuss parenting. There's alt.parenting, alt.parenting-solutions, misc.kids.health, and alt.mothers to name just a few. You'll be able to join these groups right from Google or via a stand-alone newsreader, which comes right along with Outlook Express.

Become a member of these groups. Then, after observing the atmosphere and reading the groups FAQs, make some interesting posts--not about your newsletter or whatever you're building your list about, but join in the discussions. Use the URL to your list building page in your signature file at the end of your post.

Or, what about blogs? Though Google isn't putting much stock in one-way links you get from posting to them anymore, you can still do some list building through them. Again, it' s important to make a post relating to the discussion in the blog, and then, only to use your URL in your signature line. You can find blogs with the theme of parenting at http://blogsearch.google.com.

Places where people shop, like Amazon.com? You can write reviews of books on parenting or rate products and use the URL to your list building page.

One thing you have to be when you're list building is creative. Find the people who want the information you have to give or what you're selling. Otherwise, you'll just be wasting your time and all your list building efforts will be down the tubes. List building the right way can make you rich. List building the wrong way can just frustrate you and leave you disillusioned.

Article Marketing - How to Use Article Marketing to Get Prospects to Come to You

The way I do it is with article marketing combined with list building. Now, the beautiful thing about article marketing, is that I don't have to go where they hang out. All I have to do is write articles that make sense to them. Upload them to the article directories, and then the article directories because of their own high search engine ranking ability, their high pay rank, the article directories themselves will get my articles where people hang out.

Not necessarily where people hang out but where people look. So for example if somebody's looking for information about natural health, let's say somebody's looking for information about natural health, I'm into natural health. Well, I can go about this 2 different ways, number 1 I can go hang out on all the natural health forums and the natural health blogs, and all of that. I can kind of hope I can pick up some visitors. Or I can write natural health articles, I can submit them to the online article directories.

The online article directories have the page rank to get me ranked high in the search engines, and then what happens is when somebody goes in and they search for a term like natural health or alternative health or natural health for my knee, or whatever they're thinking about, natural health, for example, then my article is going to come up really really high. So I'm not going to necessarily get them where they hang out, but I'm going to get them when they're looking for information.

Search Engines - Inside Out

Term 'search engine' is generally used to describe search engines based on crawling technology and human edited web directories. Both the search engines operates differently.

Search Engines Based on Crawling Technology

Search engines like Google is considered as Crawler based search engines and they build their listings automatically. They "crawl" or "spider" the web pages, then people search through what they have found.

If you change your web pages, search engines operates on crawling technology, eventually find these changes automatically. They will rate your website based on the changes you have made and that can affect how you are listed. Page titles, meta tags, header, body and all other elements plays the major role in your website listing.

Human Edited Web Directories

A human edited web directory, such as DMOZ - Open Directory, depends on humans for its listings. You submit a link with short description about your website to the directory, human editors review your website and list you on the directory. A search looks for matches only in the descriptions submitted.

Changing your web pages has no effect on your listing. Things that are useful for improving a listing with a search engine have nothing to do with improving a listing in a directory. The only exception is that a good site, with good content, might be more likely to get reviewed for free than a poor site.

Hybrid Search Engines

In the web's early days, it used to be that a search engine either presented crawling based results or human edited listings. Today, it extremely common for both types of results to be presented. Usually, a hybrid search engine will favor one type of listings over another. For example, MSN Search is more likely to present human-powered listings from LookSmart. However, it does also present crawler-based results (as provided by Inktomi), especially for more obscure queries.

The Parts Of A Crawling Based Search Engines

Crawler-based search engines have three major elements. First is the spider, also called the crawler. The spider visits a web page, reads it, and then follows links to other pages within the site. This is what it means when someone refers to a site being "spidered" or "crawled." The spider returns to the site on a regular basis, such as every month or two, to look for changes.

Everything the spider finds goes into the second part of the search engine, the index. The index, sometimes called the catalog, is like a giant book containing a copy of every web page that the spider finds. If a web page changes, then this book is updated with new information.

Sometimes it can take a while for new pages or changes that the spider finds to be added to the index. Thus, a web page may have been "spidered" but not yet "indexed." Until it is indexed -- added to the index -- it is not available to those searching with the search engine.

Search engine software is the third part of a search engine. This is the program that sifts through the millions of pages recorded in the index to find matches to a search and rank them in order of what it believes is most relevant. You can learn more about how search engine software ranks web pages on the aptly-named How Search Engines Rank Web Pages page.

Major Search Engines: The Same, But Different

All crawler-based search engines have the basic parts described above, but there are differences in how these parts are tuned. That is why the same search on different search engines often produces different results. Some of the significant differences between the major crawler-based search engines are summarized on the Search Engine Features Page. Information on this page has been drawn from the help pages of each search engine, along with knowledge gained from articles, reviews, books, independent research, tips from others and additional information received directly from the various search engines.

Introduction to Search Engine Optimization

There are millions of websites out there on the World Wide Web. They compete intensely with each other to attract a larger chunk of the target audience. The individuals who comprise the target audience would reach the site either by keying in the website address (URL) or by using search engines to locate the website and other similar sites in line with their needs.

In such a scenario, it becomes very important for the website owners/companies to find a place amongst the search engine listings, preferably somewhere at the top of the list. This is where Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) comes into the picture.

Most people think of SEO as being too complicated and hence, beyond their reach. However, it can be achieved if the Webmaster tried and tested methodologies, which in turn work in sync with how search engines function. Improving search engine rankings in competitive topic areas does require relevant knowledge, expertise and the advice of SEO experts, but most websites do not operate in such competitive areas. Many of them can achieve top rankings by applying just the basics of SEO.

This article contains a few basics of SEO which you could apply on your own before resorting to professional help from an expert.

What is Search Engine Optimisation?

SEO is a method of getting top rankings for a website's relevant keywords in search engines. The relevant keywords are the phrases that prospective users of the site are most likely to type into a search engine while looking for the content that the website offers. Getting high ranks on these keywords is what SEO is all about.

The best way to start is by choosing an existing benchmark among websites that offer services similar to those on your website. Next, analyse these sites to figure out the most suitable phrases to help you decide on suitable key phrases for your website.

The next step is to allocate these key phrases to suitable pages within your site. Focus on one to three phrases per page. In case your website page is very large and covers wider areas of content, you should try to split pages that cover several closely related topics, or several aspects of a topic, into two or more shorter pages so that a different search term can be targeted at each individual page. Moreover, the content on the page should be in sync with the keywords and title of the page. Remember that smaller and more concise pages are better than longer ones because it is easier to target a keyword when there is less text on the page to dilute the focus. Optimally, a page should not have more than 200 words of content.

Search Engine Optimisation - Some Basics

Linking/navigation within the website

SEO tries to ensure that search engine spiders can find (crawl) all of the site's pages. Otherwise, such pages cannot be read by the search engines and can, therefore, never be indexed. Thus, all your efforts are likely to amount to nothing if this essential aspect is not taken care of right at the beginning.

Some critical points to note...

Spiders can't see links that are created using JavaScript, or if the links are served in the Shockwaves or Applets - as such, these links don't exist for search engines. Don't use such links if you want spiders to follow these links.

Make sure that all pages link to at least one other page. Links to pages that don't link out are called "dangling links", and there can be various reasons for such links. The Webmaster needs to work on these.

Avoid frame-based websites since search engines are unable to index such sites in the same way that the sites are created.

Off-page elements

Link text

This is one of the two most important elements for good rankings. The link text can be on pages within the site or on pages of other sites. Either way, it is important. The target page's main search term should be included in the link text. Links carry even more weight if the text around them is concerned with the target page's topic and keyword(s).

On-page elements

This is the other important element for good rankings. Make sure that the page's keywords are contained in this tag. Moreover, each page's Title tag should be different from the Title tags on the other pages of the site. The Description tag

Some search engines, such as Google, don't display descriptions, but in spite of this, it should be included in each page. Write an appealing description for the page and incorporate the page's search keywords into it at least once, preferably twice.

The Keywords tag

The words in the keywords tag are indexed. Hence, it is important to put plenty of relevant keywords in this tag.

The Header tag

In the above tag, "n" is a number from 1 to 6; the biggest heading size being 1. Header tags are given more weight that ordinary text and, the bigger the H size, the more weight it receives. So include the target search key words in H tags at least once on the page, or better still, two or three times. Also, place the first H tag as near to the top of the page as possible.

Bold text

Bold text is given more weight than ordinary text but not as much as H tags. As far as is reasonable, enclose the search keywords in bold tags when it appears on the page.

Text

Reword small parts, and even add sentences, to make sure that the search term is well represented in the text. In all probability, each word in the search keywords will be found on the page. In fact, if they are not there on their own, add a few of them in the content the page. In general, around 200 words of textual content is optimum for a page.

Alt text

Include the search term in the Alt text of all images on the page.

Work on ensuring website popularity

Search engines accord emphasis to the popularity of the website on the Internet. It keeps track of all the other websites which link to the pages of your website and adds the ranking to the keywords and links present on related websites.

Summary

Select your main key phrases.

Allocate phrases to a suitable existing page. Split some pages if necessary.

Organise the internal linkages and link text to suit the target search terms and their pages. If possible, organise links from other sites to suit the target search words and their pages. Organise all the on-page elements to suit each page's target search keywords. Ask other Webmasters to add the link of your website on their websites in order to ensure higher visibility of your website on the Internet.

Identify categories on the available directories on the World Wide Web and submit your site to them.

Article Marketing For Massive Traffic - 3 Of My Biggest Secrets!

Article marketing is not as profitable as before. That's what 'gurus' tend to say to get you afraid. The truth is, although there are more article writers right now, the amount of people surfing the Internet has also increased. So it comes down to the same amount of traffic.

Here are my 3 biggest secrets for getting massive traffic from your article marketing:

1. Always Build A List With Your Opt-In Page

This is what I do - I always build a list by sending traffic from my articles to a opt-in page. I don't send them to a sales page - that just turns most people off. But a squeeze page offering free information is better received. List building is one of the key activities you must be concentrating on online, so direct your traffic to build your list!

2. Submit Only To The Top Directories

Although you can make submitting articles to hundreds of directories quicker with an article submitter, it's still terribly difficult. You have to register at all the directories, and most article directories are different from each other, so that makes article submitting with submitters a slow process still. My advice: submit only to the top 5 directories. Spend more time writing articles.

3. Write In A Conversational Style

Let's face it, as human beings we are emotional beings. We respond better to conversational writing (that's why blogs are so popular!) than boring, technical writing. Unless your subject calls for it, I'd advice writing in a conversational style (like what I'm doing here!) as this will generate windfall results.

Want Help With Your PPC Campaigns? Read This Review Of Keyword Elite

So why would you consider software to conduct your Keyword research, you may ask yourself?

One of the main and important reasons is the ability to save huge amounts of time on conducting research for profitable Keywords for using with Adsense content pages or looking for effective Keywords for your Google Adword campaigns. The phrase time is money is no truer than when attempting to do this type of research manually.

Ok, first things first Brad Callen in my opinion has excelled in developing a user friendly interface, I personally own both Keyword Elite and Seoelite, which is another of Brad's software developments, more of that on another review, but for now lets concentrate on the benefits of Keyword Elite.

When you start with the software it provides you with 5 projects:

1. Create a Keyword List
2. Analyse Pay Per Click Listings
3. Select a Keyword List
4. Analyse Keyword Competition
5. Spy on Adwords Competition

Project 1-Creating a Keyword List

This allows you to enter your desired keyword or phrase, you are provided with options telling Keyword Elite where you wish it to collate it's data from.

The options include:

Overture
Google Suggestion Tool
Yahoo
Ask.com
Misspelled Keywords

You are also provided with the option to use Wordtracker and or Keyword Discovery, dependant on having accounts with these. Whichever choices you take Keyword Elite can return up to potentially 10,000 keywords.

I'm sure you can see how this could not only provide large keyword lists but also significant time savings.

Project 2-Analyse Per Per Click Listings

If you are actively conducting research and implementing strategies with Google Adwords campaigns, then I believe project 2 would be of immense assistance in your campaigns.

So what is project 2 about?

Firstly, keyword lists from project 1 can be uploaded into project 2. Although possible, it is unlikely that you will wish to analyse all your keywords on your list. Keyword Elite allows you to select from the list the words that you wish to specifically research.

It takes your selection and searches all the major PPC search engines, you can see it's progress in the thread view and when finished you can view the results within the report view.

Within the report view this is where you will find an immense amount of valuable information, including the KEI or (Keyword Effectiveness Index), which provides a guide to the profitability of that Keyword.

Other information included is the CPC (Cost Per Click) and the average amount of time a word is clicked on.

Keyword Elite will show results for this information and more including detailed analysis of your competition, and does this for Broad,Phrase and Exact matches.

Furthermore it allows you to use this analysis to launch an adwords campaign without going into your google adwords campaign settings. The whole system is organised to assist the user as much as possible.

Project 2-Continued..

Continuing with project 2 not only are you selecting popular keywords to use with google adwords campaigns, but you are also establishing profitable Keywords to incorporate with google adsense pages if you so wish.

So how does it work, Keyword elite creates your Keyword List and analyses the cost per click mentioned previously, at this point you can select the Keywords you wish to work with.

Right clicking on the selection allows you to create adsense pages. Keyword Elite searches for articles surrounding the Keywords chosen, on completion you are able to build adsense pages using one of three provided templates or you can select your own.

Keyword elite allows you to record your own preferences with regards to the adsense blocks and text, and your own publishing id, all in all a number of new pages can be created in a matter of minutes and with a google site map included.

Project 4-Analyse your Keyword competition

With this project you can select up to 100 competing websites. You enter your keyword phrase and Keyword Elite goes to work on analysing your competition and provide results on how many sites are competing, how many searches are taking place.

It provides details pertaining to the individual site, such as its PR (Page Rank), also the keyword density shown within the content. Apart from this you can see how it is optimised for keywords in the title, alt tags and much much more.

spending sometime on this data could save a vast amount of time and possibly money in assessing whether you are focusing on the right niche. Is it too competitive?, is this a battle you can win or should you be spending your time looking elsewhere?.

The great thing about this project is its ability to allow you to be armed with this information in advance of any major involvement in a particular market or niche.

Project 5-Spying on your Adwords competition

With project 5 you can see what success your competition is having with your selected Keywords or market, you can see which keywords are been bid on and what levels of success are being experienced.

With keyword elite you can see which ads are effective, you can select how many times a day Keyword elite completes this research, once twice or three times a day. This allows you to build an audit trail so you can view the history of a campaign.

Covertly you know the Keywords, the ads of your competition and when they are making changes to ineffective ad campaigns.

In summary although I have mentioned the benefit of it's time savings Keyword Elite is and remains more than that. The software is designed with the user in mind and operates five effective projects all designed to provide the user with an unimaginable amount of valuable data, which in my opinion would either be impossible to find manually or would be prohibited by the time required to constantly conduct the research to the same effective standards.

Google and Understanding Page Rank and What it Means to YOU

Google Page Rank is an important measurement tool of how you are ranked by Google. PageRank is their perception of the quality and creditability of a in individual web site/page. Google reports this as a number from 0-10 (10 being the best). So if your web page and your competitors web site has the same relevance - then whomever has the higher PageRank gets the better ranking. This is why PageRank is so important.

There is near unanimous agreement that PageRank is primarily determined by the number of web sites or pages that are linking to your site. Google considers these links as a vote of confidence. They are always seeking relevancy and value. They also rank the "links" to you and believe me not all links are created equal. In other words, the more credibility that the link has, the more important it is to your ranking. How is this credibility determined? They use their PageRank (of course) to determine the link value. As an example, let's say that your best friend Mark has a web site or blog and he links to you. Let's also say that Mark's PageRank is 3 and has limited inbound links. This link from your buddy will certainly help you because Google loves inbound links but it help you more if you can find 100 or more Marks web sites with a PageRank of 3 to link to you.

If you can get a single link form a web site that has a Page Range of 6, it'll help you more than 100 Mark's sites. Why, because the PageRank 6 site is considered more valuable and relevant. From my research, it appears that Google PageRank falls into four broad categories:

0-3: New sites or sites with very minimal links

4-5: Popular sites with a fair amount of inbound links

6: Very popular sites that have hundreds of links, many of them quality links

7-10: Usually media brands (USAToday.com), big companies or A-list bloggers.

Now, it's important to note that PageRank is believed to be calculated on a logarithmic scale. What this roughly means is that the difference between PR4 and PR5 is likely 5-10 times than the difference between PR3 and PR4. So, there are likely over 100 times as many web pages with a PageRank of 2 than there are with a PageRank of 4. This means that if you get to a PageRank of 5 or so, you're likely well into the top 0.1% of all websites out there. If most of your competition is ranking around with a PR2 or PR3, you're ahead of the pack.

How do you determine your PageRank?

There are at least two ways to figure out what your approximate PageRank is. One, you can download the Google Toolbar (the PageRank feature is not turned on by default, so you'd have to enable it after installation).

The other way is to use the Page Rank Calculator. There several very good free calculators on the net and some require no registration. Check them out and if you are a PR6, please email me immediately. It's quick, free and requires no registration. Check it out. If you have a PR6 or higher,

Why is this important?

Most web site owners are paranoid about their Google ranking. By knowing your page ranking will help you to make the changes or additions to your site to improve your content and value to not only Google but to those other web sites that potentially link to your site. As almost every writer about Internet marketing or SEO will agree that great CONTENT and FRESHNESS are key to your overall success on the Internet. Get Ranked!

How to Select Keywords For My Website

As there are literally billions of webpages on the net, searching and getting to the right page is really difficult. A keyword phrase in an Internet search is a set of words used to find the matching webpages. Search engines have tools for determining which words in a search string are important and to be treated as keywords. Common words like a, an, the, and are not treated as keywords.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a technique of improving the number and the quality of visitors to a website, who come in using Search Engines. Apart from keyword specific listings, SEO's may also include paid advertising in the form of pay per click advertisements and paid inclusion listings.

Since the keyword phrases that you decide to target will be used throughout the optimization process, choosing the right keywords is of utmost importance, which happen to be those words or phrases commonly typed in by your potential customers, but which aren't used much on your competitors' websites. If you choose the wrong keywords your site will not be listed in the search engines. Always select "specific keyword phrases" and not mere "keywords", because if your keyword phrases are too general it is very unlikely you will rank well in the search engines. You stand a far good chance to rank well for specific phrases which are unique. For example, "Perfumes" and "Imported French Perfumes" make a lot of difference.

So a keyword research should be done with great precision and effort to identify the Primary Keyword/s that best describes your webpage. After identifying your keywords, the next important question is how to place them on the pages of your site. Lot of strategies are used, one being the primary keyword is placed boldly (using bold html commands) on the page. The other being the same Primary Keyword is used in every webpage of your site or using it in the Title Tag of your page.

If you attempt at selecting the right keyword purely on guesswork, you may lose out potential customers/visitors to your site. It is here the Wordtracker comes to your aid.Based on over 250 million keywords and phrases that people have used over the previous 90 days, Wordtracker suggests the best keywords you can use for your site.

A website mywebmoney.com uses select keywords like, "Streams of Multiple Income", "Zero Risk Investment System" attracting good webpage hits.

How to Build Effective Links

In this Internet age every business small or big must have an Internet site to represent their business. It is not enough to just have a web site, your site has to be promoted regularly through different avenues. The first step is to submit your web page to various Internet search engines. Once you have submitted your web site information to search engines, next important step is to make links with other sites. Links are small piece of html code with url and other information regarding your site embedded to it. Send this code to other site's webmaster who is interested in exchanging link with your site. They can put this html code into their web site. You also will receive a similar kind of html code with their url and other information about the site embedded to it, which should be pasted into your page. Many websites are keeping a separate page for hosting these links.

When you select a web site to host your link it is better to select one, which is doing a similar kind of business like yours. Building links is not a Herculean task. It takes some time to establish links. Once you make links with other web sites you can watch your traffic increase day by day.

Building Sub-Lists To Maximize Profit

Every successful online marketer has an opt-in mailing list. Most of us began our list building efforts by using a free gift to entice prospects to subscribe but this is only the beginning of a profitable list building strategy.

Once you have a list of some size, it's a great idea to start building sub-lists from your current subscriber base to help you really target your promotions and increase your profits. This is a simple matter of segmenting your subscribers into smaller lists based on their interests and actions.

For example, everyone should definitely have a buyers list. You can create this sub-list by simply having your subscribers fill out a form with name and email after they purchase one of your offers. Or you can have a programmer set up an IPN script on your payment processor that adds a buyer's name and payment address to an autoresponder database after each purchase.

By doing this you will have a mailing list made up only of your paying customers. These are people who have an interest in your wares and the ability to pay for them, so I'm sure you see the value in building such a sub-list. This database will become one of your most profitable assets.

Or let's say you interview an expert in your field via telephone and invite your subscribers to sit in on the call. This is a fairly common marketing tactic that can result in some nice affiliate sales.

You could ask your subscribers to register for the call by filling out an opt-in form. This is an easy way to create a sub-list of readers who have an expressed interest in products offered by the person you are interviewing, and you could increase revenue by targeting these people with pitches specific to such products.

The idea behind sub-list building is just to organize your subscribers into smaller groups, all with a very specific interest or promotional value. Of course you'll still have your main list to "fall back on" so you only stand to gain by applying this strategy to your own marketing efforts.

Productive Article Marketing - Latest 3 Comprehensive Methods to Advance With Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the most powerful website marketing strategies in the internet today. As search engines remain to the be best source of warm and targeted traffic, more and more webmasters are using article marketing so they can fare well on major search engines.

Here are the 3 comprehensive methods to advance with article marketing:

1. Write for your readers. Article marketing can bring you numerous benefits. It can improve your page ranking, increase the number of targeted visitors to your site, and it can help you communicate your expertise to your potential readers. However, before you can achieve all of that, you must know how to attract and please your target market first. You can easily do so by writing content that is targeted to their needs and demands. That is why, it is very crucial for you to get to know your readers first even before you start writing your articles so you can effectively adjust your writing style and language on the level that they are most comfortable with.

2. Widely distribute your articles. It is not enough that you submit your articles to major submission sites. To get maximum exposure, you must consistently find avenues where you can post your content. Some marketers are submitting their articles to websites that are syndicated by Google and Yahoo News. While others are posting their writing materials to various sites like wikis, forums, blogs, and on their own websites.

3. Bank on the quality of your content. It article marketing, it is useless to write numerous low quality articles. Why? Because these articles are unlikely to get distributed or republished by other marketers. Thus, they will not be able to help you augment your traffic and your page ranking. So, instead of focusing on the number of your articles, concentrate on your content. It is better to have few articles that are worth distributing that more articles that will just sit on publishing sites and will not have the chance to go further.

How Important is PageRank, Really?

Webmasters can spend most of their waking hours doing everything they can to raise their Google PageRank. It is common knowledge that PageRank, which is largely based upon the number and quality of backlinks a webpage has, is an important factor in how well a particular webpage ranks within the Google search results. Since webmasters spend so much of their time worrying about PageRank, an important question is: how important is PageRank, really?

Many webmasters will tell you from experience that other factors besides PageRank, such as keyword density and placement, have recently taken a larger role in website ranking. No one will argue that PageRank has become irrelevant, but there is significant evidence to suggest that PageRank is not quite as important of a factor in website ranking as it once was.

To illustrate this point, I utilized a very useful tool you can find at prlookup.com. The tool returns regular Google query results with one interesting addition they also give the pagerank for every webpage. Thus, you can type in any word or phrase and see the pagerank of those webpages that rank well (or not so well) for that keyword. Looking at the results, you probably notice something almost immediately. Some sites with low PRs do surprisingly well in the results, while some higher PR sites do quite poorly. Some of this difference can be contributed to sheer content that is, how many times, and in what manner, the keywords you entered actually show up on the webpage. Google takes a close look at keyword usage and density in determining ranking. However, some pages clearly have very close keyword densities, yet in some cases the page with the lower pagerank will somehow still receive a better ranking.

Let us take a more quantitative look at this. Taking 20 of the most popular keywords from rankpulse.com (for this particular day), and entering them in prlookup.com, it is possible to get a better feel for the importance of pagerank. Looking at the first five results only, I wanted to see how many followed in order of highest PR to lowest PR. Surely, out of the results for 20 keywords, a good portion of them will display such an order, right? I have listed the number of webpage results that appeared in correct PageRank order for each keyword (i.e. 5 would indicate that 5 out of 5 results were in order of highest to lowest pagerank). You can see the table with results at Google Advisor.

Although limited by sample size, the results indicated that PageRank is not an overwhelmingly dominant component of website ranking on Google. If it were, the average of correct PageRank order for these keywords really should be somewhere around 4 to 5 (the real average was about 2.15). Thus, other factors including keyword density in webpage content, title, and even the URL, play a significant role in webpage ranking. I want to mention that, while looking over these results, I noticed that about 4-5 of these keywords came up with at least one webpage within the first 10 results (first page on Google) that had absolutely no PageRank at all (PR 0). In addition, a couple keywords came up with results with exactly reverse-order PageRanks that is, the first result at the lowest PR and the fifth result had the highest (for example, PR8, 7, 6, 6, 5 or something similar).

So what does this all mean for the average webmaster concerned with SEO? The first lesson is that keywords and other non-PageRank factors can be absolutely crucial. They can put a PR6 site above a PR8 site (if you don't believe me just use the tool I mentioned above). Does this mean that website owners should not worry about links? Not at all. It's just that all the time people spend on exchanging and acquiring links for the sole purpose of increasing PageRank may be better spent developing website content and keyword strategies instead.

As far as keywords are concerned, we discovered that having keywords in the website title and URL can help a site rank much more competitively. Good content tends to have the fortunate effect of both increasing your one-way in-bound links (people like to link to sites they find interesting, thoughtful, informative, or helpful), thereby improving your PageRank, while at the same time producing keyword rich webpages good for both human viewers and search engine spiders.

The take home message here is that PageRank is important, but it certainly is not worth obsessing over; there are many other factors involved in website ranking that should be given nearly equal consideration. In addition, simply building a good website is the best thing you can do to attract visitors, even without a great PageRank. PageRank, however, will likely follow consider it a welcomed byproduct of your hard work.
