Creating Better Traffic For Your Website

The number of people that visit your website is known as the "traffic" to your site. The more traffic you can attract to your website, the more opportunities you'll have to turn them into regular customers. In addition, the more traffic you have, the higher your ranking will be in the various search engines. This means that your website will be one of the first a search engine will display on their results page. To learn how to start building traffic to your site, read on.

Keep it simple. By nature, most people are not looking to complicate their lives. When it comes to creating how-to guides, know that you should avoid complex issues. People are searching for that one great piece of advice that will help them solve their problems. If talking about something complex cannot be avoided, then work hard to present it in the simplest way possible. The blog entries and articles you have written and created will help to illustrate the more complex concepts.

Persist in actively building traffic to your website. Even though you realize that high traffic won't come immediately, it doesn't pay for you to relax and not worry about it. What you do need to do is participate in forums, blogs, and chat rooms where you can spread webpage links to your site and demonstrate your expertise. Submit your homepage to directories and search engines regularly. You can also install widgets allowing your readers to pass along your articles and information to others.

The last step is learning how to use tools that drive visitors to your web site. On the web, many tools are available for this purpose. Article marketing, search engine optimization, link building, and joining social networking sites are all good opportunities to massively increase traffic to your site.

Profitable Article Marketing - Discover 4 Outstanding Secrets to Impact Your Article Marketing

Article marketing is considered the ultimate marketing tool as it is proven effective in augmenting traffic, pulling up search engine ranking, improving sales potentials and profits, and positioning yourself as an expert on your chosen niche. What makes it even more popular is that it is easy to do and anyone can do it for free.

Here are the 4 outstanding secrets to impact your article marketing:

1. Potential readers. You need to keep your target market in mind every time you write your articles. You have to make sure that the information you present, your writing style, and your choice of words are all targeted to their needs, wants, and preferences. This is an effective way to please your readers as they are the ones who can ultimately make your marketing strategy a success.

2. Search engines. If you want to drive quality traffic to your website, you need to know how to please the search engines so they will connect you to your potential readers by showing your articles on relevant searches. Make it a habit to use targeted keywords on your content and follow the recommended keyword density to make your articles search engine-friendly.

3. Article submission sites. To increase the chances of your articles being accepted by popular publishing sites, you need to learn and follow their rules by heart. Keep your articles content-rich, informative, keyword-rich, timely, and accurate. Also, eliminate sales pitches or blatant advertisements, inappropriate content, and hyperlinks on your articles. These are the common reasons why articles are rejected online.

4. Your business. Remember, you are writing your articles to promote your business and your products to ultimately augment your sales potential. As such, you need to be careful in choosing your topics and you must stick with those that are relevant to your target niche and potential clients so you can drive targeted traffic to your website.

Powerful Article Marketing - Latest 5 Rewarding Methods to Explode Your Article Marketing

The online competition to get people's attention cannot be stiffer these days. Everyone would like to get ahead of the pack so they can have an edge and entice more online users to their website. With this kind of competition, how can you ever survive online? Well, you need to explode your article marketing efforts using these 5 rewarding methods:

1. Aside from article submission sites, look for other avenues where you can post your articles. The more exposure you get, the better the chances of your articles being picked up and republished. Post them on your blog, to websites syndicated by Google News, forums, social bookmarking sites, and use them as content when you publish your ezine. You can also compile them to create an ebook which you can use as a viral marketing tool.

2. Your articles must be search-engine friendly. Download keyword suggestion software that you can use to identify the keywords that are highly searched for by your target market. Use these on your content so your articles will match the searches being made by your potential readers.

3. Keep your articles short and sweet. Avoid making your articles lengthy that they become boring to read. Learn how to communicate your ideas in the most straightforward way possible. Strike out too many introductions and offer valuable information upfront.

4. Quality over quantity. People will judge your knowledge, expertise, and credibility based on the quality of your content. Even if you have few articles posted online, you can still make a mark if your contents are useful, well-written, informative, and timely.

5. Be factual. Remember, you write to inform. People who consider you as an expert will listen to your ideas and follow your suggestions. Thus, it is important that you don't mislead them by checking all your data before posting your articles online.

The Controversy About Controversial Articles

Article writing is one popular method Internet Marketers use to promote websites or products. There are many different experts who suggest using this method to be highly effective, easy and inexpensive technique to adopt, especially for those working on a small budget.

In theory, a well distributed article will create tremendous exposure when published to various Ezines, newsletters blogs etc. If the writer's articles are of sufficiently high quality the author will be seen as an expert and their sites will gain authority from back links and resulting traffic.

Opinions vary on the best approach to use when creating articles. Some authors, experienced in this kind of marketing, suggest that creating articles that stir controversy is a good strategy. This however is a point with which others take exception.

It is sometimes recommended that by adopting a controversial writing the author can become more visible and creates buzz. Obviously this would then stir interest and perhaps generate traffic to a site. However using such an approach can also have a downside, which should be carefully considered.

Newspapers and magazine thrive on articles about topics which are current, newsworthy and of interest to their readers. Using articles as part of a marketing campaign is not the same as writing as a journalist, a reporter or even a blogger; it is a type of advertising.

The saying, there are two sides to every coin" is apt when it comes to controversial subjects. If an author creates a piece which is seen to be unfairly biased towards a particular point of view it may so alienate those with the opposite view that it will do more harm to a marketing program than good.

Further to that point, publishers might be reluctant to pick up articles which might offend some of their readers. Worse still, such articles might create a negative reputation for the writer which would impact their ability to get published in the future.

Some subjects might in fact have different aspects which can't be easily confined to a single point of view. By nature topics such as these might be more controversial than others and writing about them requires skill and a keen eye for balance and fairness.

Writing to be controversial is not a good idea as an article marketing strategy. However, writing about a controversial subject is not always a bad thing when certain caveats are observed. Bear in mind that readers will have their own opinions about your topic. The objective of such an article should be to inform not to confront or convert. Write about the nature of the conflicts or differences as a means of offering readers information that makes the issues clear.

The secret to an effective article writing program is no real secret at all. Write effective compelling, entertaining or enlightening pieces that provide readers with valuable and useful information.

If there are several opinions, points of view of ideas which the readers should consider, offer them in a fair balanced manner. Writers need to apply care and judicious use of the tools of their craft to create work that informs rather than inflames.

Many authors openly declare personal preferences or biases so as to prevent accusations of having a hidden agenda. They will also clearly point out where there are conflicts or differences of opinion among experts or as noted in the media on a given topic. This approach could be dubbed writing about controversy and not to cause it.

If you wish to take a strong position on something there are various other forums where one can express opinion and write with inspired passion. When writing specifically for the purpose of promoting a marketing campaign keep in mind the objectives of the piece and the intended reader.

Online Advertising - The Good, The Bad and the Ugly!

As I'm sure you have noticed, if you have done any internet surfing at all, most of the websites that you run across are offering ways to advertise your online business with either free or paid types of ad venues.

These advertising programs are essentially making money from your advertising efforts whether it is classified ads, solo ads or traffic exchanges. There are plenty of free advertising resources available to the savvy internet marketer ie: Craigs List and USFree Ads as well as some that will actually pay you cash back for advertising with them. These can be used with a certain amount of success.

The important thing to remember when using these services is to read their terms of service and NOT violate them. These are very highly visited sites with Craig's List being the 6th most visited site in the world. That's important because if you are using the proper keywords in your title and in the body of your ad, it will appear extremely high up on the search engines and potentially draw some much needed traffic from that high placement. The same is true for other highly ranked advertising sites as well.

Regarding E-Mail advertising, there are some email blasters that can be purchased for a minimal amount, usually in the $10 to $25 range that claim to blast your email ad out to millions of people every day. I have tried several of these blasters with little or no success and would advise not wasting time or money on them.

The other email marketing method that I use is safe list solo ads. A safe list is a group of people that have double opted in to be able to advertise their opportunities to each other with the worry of spam complaints. These safe lists require that you have two different email accounts. One for a list address (where tons of emails come in) and a contact address for the admin of the list will send you their emails.

The only problem that I see with a safe list is that most of the heavy volume of emails going to your list address are just deleted by the other members simply because there are hundreds of emails a day. The other option that I use is purchasing a contact solo ad from the safe list owner to go out to all the contact addresses. This has proven to be fairly productive as the safe list owner generally has more than one list and access to other lists.

The prices range from just a couple of dollars for a single send up to near one hundred dollars depending on the program and how responsive the list is. Generally you can buy a contact solo to run every other day for a month in the $20 range, which is pretty reasonable.

Another source of free or even paid advertising are the traffic exchange. These are basically website rotators that will show your website in exchange for you viewing others websites. They mostly use a system of credits that you earn by "surfing" other peoples sites and then exchange those credits for showing your sites to others. Most traffic exchanges are free to join and advertise on and most have up grades, which offer more services and credits each month. One of the newest innovations to hit the online marketplace for your advertising needs are sites that will actually pay you while you advertise with them.

These sites usually have some sort of pay plan that requires one to build up a down line of people in order to get paid from your advertising with them. This is a good way to go if you have a fairly good following or a sizable list of contacts to market the advertising program to. To sum it all up, Make sure you check and read terms of service so that you stay within the guidelines of the advertising company.

Definitely DO NOT SPAM when using email advertising and do a search for problems with an advertising service to find any scam reports on them. There are a lot of companies on the Internet that will take your money and not provide the services that they offer. It's one of those "buyer Beware" situations that we all struggle with each and every day. That being said though, there are plenty of reputable advertising sites that you can use to promote whatever your products or services are online.

Keyword Advertising - Why Every One Is Doing It And Why You Should Too

Keyword Advertising is largely related to pay per click advertising engines such as Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft Adcenter. These are the three major players in the ppc industry.

Why you should use keyword advertising # 1

Contrary to old marketing techniques such as Interruption marketing, keyword advertising focuses on a very effective method also known as permission marketing. With keyword advertising, you are able to give the advertisement when a user wishes to see it.

Why you should use keyword advertising # 2

It is the fastest way to test the conversion rate of your sales page. Setting up a campaign in google Adwords is fast and easy and will only take minutes. Almost immediately after you set it up, you'll soon see targeted traffic flocking into your site looking to buy what they have searched for.

Why you should use keyword advertising # 3

Keyword advertising is the fastest way to test a niche to see if it is profitable or not. Many affiliates use Adwords to test the water before going full force to market a certain product. This is to ensure a good return on investment, time and effort. Otherwise you might end up taking too much time and putting in too much effort on a product just to find out that you are promoting something that is not profitable.

Why you should use keyword advertising # 4

Keyword Advertising when used correctly, can really earn you a lot of money. With that said, if you do it the wrong way, you'll also find yourself losing a lot of money. Make sure the product that you sell has a price tag that is able to cover your cost in keyword bidding and have some leftovers as your profit. One of the key to successful keyword advertising would be relevance. Give searcher what they want and they will give you what you want in return.

As profitable as keyword advertising is, keyword advertising is also very complicated and it required a lot of work. Hence a keyword research tool such as Keyword Elite can be used to greatly reduce the workload and help you achieve success with your keyword advertising a lot faster.

Article Marketing For Traffic - Is It So Great?

Many marketers claim that article marketing is the best way to gain hordes of targeted traffic to your website. They even go further and claim that you will receive lifetime traffic from your writing and submission efforts. Many claim that you should post one article per week, but the truth is that if you really want to see results, you need to write and submit way more than that.

Don't write an article or two if you expect to gain a lot of traffic and sales because it's not going to happen.

To profit from article marketing, you need to submit hundreds of articles to the top twenty directories. Mass submission with a software isn't really necessary although it can help with traffic and backlinks.

I used isnare.com to submit my articles in the past, and when I search in Google, I get hundreds of results for some articles while for others, I have only one or a few results.

Sometimes, I don't know for what reason, but your articles are just doing fine and you have many backlinks from this, but it's not my main model now. In fact, sometimes I just submit to ezinearticles.com and that's it. Just submitting to the best article directories also work very well, and I know another successful marketer who only submit to ezinearticles with great results.

Quality is a must. Whenever you write an article, be sure that your reader will feel better when he finished reading than he was before your article.

It's amazing to see that hundreds of article marketers use article spinner softwares and other crap content to pollute the Internet instead of writing well written and informative articles.
