Article Submission - Methods to Get Good Backlinks

There are a few marketing tricks you can use to begin building traffic to your website. If you are an affiliate marketer, or network marketer, this method will bring you target traffic by using article submission.

The first thing to remember is that you should be the person writing your articles if you want this trick to work for free. You do not have to be a great writer at all. If this seems too daunting, then there are writers on the Internet that will take over this task for you.

Article submission to drive traffic to your site needs to have the subject matter of your articles be something about the product, or company you are trying to market on your site. It does no good to have your article be about pencils, if you are trying to market pens.

Break up your articles into small 500 word articles using SEO methods. Optimizing your articles for article submission to content sites is to get your articles listed naturally as part of that content site.

Google loves article sites. Their spiders index these article content sites on a regular basis. When your article submission is accepted, this then becomes a part of that site and gets indexed along with everything else for article submission into the search engine.

Use target keywords in your articles. If the product you're writing about is foreign auto parts with regards to hubcaps, then your keyword might be "foreign car hubcaps". You would want to use this keyword at least 6-8 times throughout your article.

This helps to make your article relevant to Google, when it is indexed. This also will go far to give your article a high ranking when someone is looking for foreign car hubcaps for their car. SEO article submission like this will target your market so your traffic is right on what you are marketing.

The key to people reading your articles then getting to your marketing page is simple. All of the article content sites will allow you to leave a link at the bottom of your article. This link would be the URL to your page so you receive the traffic generated from your article submission.

It helps to leave a closing comment to your readers, so if they are looking for a wide selection of foreign car hubcaps, they can follow your link to check out this resource. This is the key to making this trick work to receive targeted traffic.

Article submission to article content sites is not a new marketing trick, but it is an effective one. Done correctly, your article submission has the power to rank first page on Google and stay there for months, generating a steady income resource to you over and over again.

Another key to article submission is to engage your readers so they don't just leave without finishing the article. It has been shown that people reading online have a shorter attention span than when reading a magazine article. If your article entices the readers to want more information about the subject, then they are more than likely going to follow the link you left for them at the bottom of it.

Article Marketing - Latest 3 Persuasive Steps to Excel At Article Marketing

Article writers cannot be more in-demand these days. With millions of webmasters constantly seeking for articles that they can use in their article marketing campaigns, they can indeed keep millions of article writers busy for a while. With it's proven ability to generate traffic and communicate the webmaster's knowledge and abilities, article marketing is fast becoming the most sought-after traffic-generating tool.

Here are the latest 3 persuasive steps to excel in article marketing:

1. Determine the use of your articles. Article marketing isn't just about submitting your articles to publishing sites. It also pertains to the distribution of your written materials in the internet using other different avenues. Thus, in writing your articles, you have to determine its usage. Are you going post them on publishing sites, on your blogs, on your website or perhaps you'll send them through e-mail marketing. In doing so, you can effectively plan the elements that you will incorporate and other add-ons that you will strike out. You would not want to use your articles with resource box on your own website, do you?

2. Be specific. Explain your ideas by giving concrete examples and specific information. For instance, if you would like to teach your readers on how to make money online, cite specific methods like blogging, article writing, and affiliate marketing, instead of telling them to google search certain terms to get the information they want. If you already have the information, why not just give it upfront? It will not only help your readers but it can also be your effective way of getting your potential audience's trust.

3. Be original. Don't be just another writer. Be different by exhibiting a new level of creativeness in your articles. Develop unique methods that can easily be associated with you so you can make a huge mark online.

Website Content - More Than Numbers And Statistics

When writing website content, like many aspects of online marketing, it is easy to get lost in a wash of statistics and numbers; desired word length, keyword ratio, and the Flesch Kincaid grade level are just some of these numbers. A lot of these numbers assist in creating effective copy, but they should not be treated as a rigid plan to write copy. Each site has different requirements, governed by the topic of the site, the knowledge level of site visitors, and the requirement of the Webmaster.

Content Length

The length of a web page is important, but not necessarily the same for every site, or every page. Blogs will, in most cases, require fewer words than a normal website. A blog needs to deliver a quick hit, because this is what blog readers are looking for. Websites trying to convey a technical subject will probably require the use of more words, and longer sentences.

For the average information websites, sentences should average around 10 words or fewer. Most pages will include longer sentences too. Wherever possible, the longer sentences should be dispersed through the page. This helps ensure the page is easily readable by all visitors. Paragraphs should also be short approximately 4 or 5 sentences.

10 word sentences are very short. It would make a page virtually unreadable if you were to try and construct it entirely in this way. However, shorter paragraphs do help create a compelling looking page. Short sentences also make a page easy and appealing to read.

Keyword Density

The keyword density is the number of keywords in a page, in relation to the total words on that page. Initially, the search engines had a very rigid view on ideal keyword density. More recently, though, they have employed more complex rules. In addition, each of the search engines have different requirements.

Keyword density is a maligned facet of website content and SEO. It is important to include keywords. This ensures that the search engines have a way to recognize the topic of the page. Google, in particular, though, considers the supporting keywords on your page. As well as looking at a specific keyword the search engines also consider the stems of keywords and related keywords.

Ensuring that page copy contains relevant keywords, but not too frequently, ensures that the content reads well. Don't attempt to aim for a specific density. Ensure that the content reads well for your visitors, and the rest will naturally follow.

Flesch Reading Ease And Flesch Kincaid Grade Level

The Flesch Reading Ease test includes a lot of the above factors. This mathematical formula uses total words, sentences, and syllables to ascertain a numerical score. The higher the number, the easier the passage is to read. A score of 90-100 can be easily read by a 5th grader. It is believed that websites with a score of 60-80 are the most effective; this score is equivalent to an 8th or 9th grade reading level.

The Flesch Kincaid Grade Level test uses similar figures. However, the score it provides relates to a US grade level. The ideal score for a typical website is 8 or 9.

As with keyword density, sentence length, and paragraph length, you don't need to stick too rigidly to the advised figures. Your visitors won't calculate the Flesch Kincaid Grade Level of your website, but they do want understandable text.

  • In order to ensure that visitors don't simply click the Back button, you should also ensure that you use shorter paragraphs.
  • The total length of a page also dictates how appealing that page is, in general.
  • The reading age and grade level of the page can be used as a good indicator of how easy that page is to read.
  • If it reads well, and performs well, the numbers don't matter.

Good website content is key to the performance of your site. WebWiseWords creates compelling content on any topic and for any website.

Targeted Article Marketing - Revealed - 6 Top Ways to Excel with Article Marketing

It is no secret that writing and submitting articles to publishing sites is a free but effective way to generate qualified, huge traffic to your site. This is the reason why it became an instant hit to webmasters especially to those how have limited marketing budget.

1. Check and make sure that all links on your resource box are working. One broken link can greatly affect the result of your marketing efforts. Also, make sure that the links will take the readers to the appropriate web page where they can easily get the information they are looking for or place an order should they become interested with your offers.

2. To convince online users to read and republish your articles, they must be content-rich, offer solutions to the pressing issues of your target market, keyword-rich, easy to understand, and they must be all well-written.

3. Make search engines index your articles by simply using relevant keywords on your articles. Your content must be highly relevant to the keywords that you are targeting to avoid being tagged as keyword spammer.

4. Convert readers to potential clients by enticing them to click on your resource box. Offer "baits" such as free ebooks or vouchers to effectively move them to visit your site.

5. Don't make your articles boring by sounding like an academically-trained writer. Make your content upbeat and lively by using conversational tone.

6. Maximize the benefits you can get from your resource box. Most publishing sites like EzineArticles dot com, allow you to include a maximum of 3 hyperlinks on your author box. Take advantage of this and insert at least 2 anchor texts together with your website's URL.

List Profit System Review - Generate Huge Email Lists On Demand?

List Profit System by Jimmy D. Brown: Well, its touted as one of the best list building products on the market. And Jimmy D. Brown is one of the top email marketers on the Internet. But does it live up to expectations?

One of the great things about List Profit System is that it provides a simple step by step formula that anyone can follow to build massive subscriber lists online. However, firstly, the bad thing about it: I felt it could have gone into greater detail about how to generate more traffic to your site. It does teach you one excellent way of driving traffic, but its not enough. You need multiple streams of traffic flowing to your site.

However, once you have built your list, List Profit System makes for a great reference resource. It provides ingenious ideas on how to monetize your list, and gain rapport with your subscribers. One of the keys to email marketing is relationship building, and List Profit System goes into great detail about this.

If you follow the steps in List Profit System, you should build quite a substantial list (though it could be bigger if you add in more traffic streams to the one described in the product) and be able to make massive profits. However, if you want the best list building education, get as many products from the best list builders around. Youll often not get the full story in one product. So keep adding to that marketing education arsenal!

Benefit of Reciprocal & Non-Relevant Links Killed by Google Jagger Update!

Google's latest algorithm update, Jagger dropped site rankings dramatically of those that relied heavily on reciprocal linking schemes and especially those that gained most of their inbound links from limited networks of sites controlled by single companies. Some firms routinely sold those links and marketing firms had provided links from their own network of sites to clients.

This type of artificial link inflation has clearly been downgraded by Google in the Jagger update and many sites participating in extensive purchased links as well as marketing network links have been dropped dramatically in rankings of competitive phrases they previously did very well for.

Some of my own clients that had extensive reciprocal linking schemes in place have dropped in rank quite seriously. They naturally come running to me to ask why. When I point to their reciprocal links directory, full of non-relevant reciprocal linking partners, they can barely believe me that it would drop their rank so severely. When I remind them that I had, very early in our relationship, suggested that they drop those link directories from their site, it is difficult NOT to smile while saying "I told you so" to them.

One client had recently agreed to a substantial writing project to add extensive copy and additional textual material on their industry and products to their site. They were ranking on page three of results at Google previous to the Jagger update and I had convinced them that that position could be improved by adding about 20 pages of focused and highly relevant copy to their site. I completed that project a few weeks ago and we're waiting for review and editing for the new section to go live.

Meanwhile, Google completed the Jagger update and this same client has dropped dramatically in rank for their most coveted keyword phrases. Why? They had been participating in a large link agreement with a single network of sites - a network that was not relevant to their industry or their products - but with thousands of links throughout the network pointing one-way links to them using anchor text with their keyword phrases included. Now that network has been recognized in the latest Google algorithm update and the client site is no longer rewarded for those thousands of links. They lost their page three position and have dropped entirely off the charts.

But - and I'm smiling here - as soon as we go live with the 20 new pages of highly relevant and focused copy that I just completed for them, I'm sure they'll bounce back in the rankings as soon as the new section is indexed and ranked where highly relevant and useful copy belongs. This will clearly demonstrate the value of that added copy and is likely to guarantee that we continue with the additional 30 pages of valuable industry and product content I had previously recommended. More industry focused and highly relevant content means better rankings.

I've long insisted in my online ramblings that reciprocal linking is a form of insanity. Thankfully, now Google has agreed and clients are returning to have me save their position on the SERP's. We'll first do what I recommended several years ago and begin seeking one-way inbound links from relevant vertical directories, industry news sites and client partners and vendors. Then we'll add substantial relevant textual copy - both original content and industry news, how-to's and reviews contributed by partners and vendors.

Once they bounce back in rankings due to the added content and new worthwhile links, I'll be smiling again along with my clients. Maybe they'll believe me more readily when I tell them not to look for quick fixes and easy answers. Because it's more expensive and time consuming to do things well (add relevant content and seek one-way inbound links) than to look for the latest simple tricks to game the system.

How to Boost Your Ranking with Google!

Google is a Beast! The King of all search engines! If you have an Online Business, then Google can make your job a heck of a lot easier! But how can you beat the veterans at their own game?

To be notice you need to get on the first page of any search engine. And no! I am not talking about pay-per-clicks. That is a very competitive environment that can cost you more to run a campaign then you will receive in income!

So, what can you do to boost your ranking with Google? First, everyone knows about the basics, keywords, density, and new content. This will help your ranking with Google, but most people don't know about the other things that can boost your ranking.

First, what you already know, keywords and keyword phrases.

If you look closely, I have used "To Boost your ranking with Google" three times already. Why, because that is how you found me! Out of all the websites and blogs, this keyword phrase that I have been using has directed my page to you.

You want to pick out about three keywords or phrases that will explain what you are writing about. You want to sprinkle them around to keep your density up. Do not abuse the system though as I found out the hard way what Google spiders will do!

Your keywords should be something the average searcher will type. For example, you might write something about lower back pain right. If you use one of Googles free tool to find out good keywords like keyword track and type in lower back pain, it will give you all the keywords that are associated with that phrase. You want to pick the highest ones and use those.

I know, I know, "But, Gary, isn't everyone else using the same keywords?" Yes! But I'd rather play the game then be in a league of my own with no fans. Think about it. If your talking about lower back pain, you want to pick a keyword like lower back pain not Erector Spinae pain. People won't search for that.

Next, is your density. To Boost your ranking with Google, you want your keywords density to be about 4 % of your entire article. This will boost your chance without putting you in the red.

When Googles spiders look for your keyword, they like to see it a lot. That will tell the spiders that this is what this article is about. You can use a tool from Google. Just type in keyword density and use the free ones.

Next is your content. To Boost your ranking with Google, you must change your content regularly. Googles spiders hate left over night. Get the picture. Even if you have to right your articles over and over again putting more and more information in the mix, if it's keeping you on the first page then go for it!

Now, the good stuff! Back links! What is a back link? A Back link is another blog or website that is comparable to your site or niche. This is a lot like a tag-team event. You are buddy backing off of one another to Boost your ranking with Google. If you get about three or more back links this will definitely power up your Google ranking.

Simply contact the owner of the page and present the offer. But, be sure to buddy up with people that have a slightly better page rank then you. If you go the other route then your page will suffer. A thousand ones are only a thousand, but a hundred tens, in Google eyes, are ten thousand!

Next are Article Hubs. If you want to Boost your ranking with Google, not submitting articles to Article Hubs is a mortal sin! This mostly free technique is the Grandfather of buddy backing. Your article, with a back link to your website, will push you up and beyond the rest! Article Hubs are Google spider's favorite five-course meal.

This is what the gurus do and why this is such a hidden piece of information.

Gary Lamb Is a make it for free nut! Knowing that the way of the pay-per-click is losing its grip, Gary became obsessed with ways to drive large amounts of traffic to his websites for free! Now, he is passing these techniques to others. To check out he has to offer go to http://makeitforfree.com/

How to Get the Ranking You Always Wanted!

Is your web site well ranked (In the top ten search results) in the results? If not, you need to read this and get the ranking you always dreamed of getting with your web site! I will show you how to get your web site a top ten ranking in the search engines with these few easy-to-do steps.

Site Design - The web site's structure will decide how the spiders read your web site and the speed of them indexing the web pages. There should be more text content then HTML content. You should avoid programs such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver. Such programs will add coding that isn't necessary and also they may add coding errors. The pages should validate and be usable in all of todays leading browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, etc.). Also look at your web site in a text browser, this will give you good idea of what the spiders see and if it can work with a text browser, it can work with just about any other browser.

Stay away from using Java, Flash, Java script, scripting such as that can trap the spiders, which will result in them not to index your content. Go external with scripting languages if you need them that bad, use something such as CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). Your web site should respond almost instantly to requests. If you get into 3 to 4 seconds delay until it loads, you need to cut down on the images and overall web page size. Keep the web page under 20k if at all possible, but keep it at least at 5k. Don't use frames, neither the visitors nor the search engines like it and shouldn't be used for any reason.

Content - Web pages should have 200 to 1500 words. Put your target keywords in bold, underline, heading and italics text. Spiders reads web pages top to bottom and they also know that the main keyword should appear in the first few sentences. Which means your targeted keywords should appear high on the page, within the first few words, also they should be in the middle and towards the end of the articles. The keyword density should be between 5 and 15%, but don't lose sleep over it, just make sure you get a density of 5%.

Meta and Title Tags - Meta tags are thought by many SEO experts to have little impact, If any at all, but it's still recommended, just in case it's still a factor. The description tag is still sometimes used in the search engines as description of the web site, so try to be creative and describe your web page's content and not just for the search engines, but for the visitors as well. Also remember not to use the same description tag for each web page, some search engines may think the page is too much like the other pages and end up banning you.

You should place your top keywords in keyword tag, keep it to 5 to 15, make sure your most important keyword appears first though. The title tag is very important part of the web page. Both the search engines and visitors will see this, so be smart and creative with it. Try to have your most important keyword to appear first and keep it short, there isn't any need for 20 or 30 words to appear in the title tag.

Links - Look around your keyword sector in DMOZ or Yahoo!, you will find many web sites that are useful to your visitors and to your ranking. Try to exchange links with one web site a day. Almost every topic has an on-topic directory, go submit to them. Don't forget DMOZ, Yahoo! or other big name directories. When you receive requests for link exchanges, check the site out before giving the OK. Check to see if they are using any spam techniques and make sure they are listed in the search engines. Also make sure it's a web site similar to your web site's topic.

One way backlinks are the best backlinks a web site can get because most reciprocal link exchanges are only for link popularity and search engines are aware of this growing problem. But they are hard to get, one way to get them is by buying them or an other is by writing articles and allowing others to use them on their own web site for content, along with a link back to your web site.

Insite Cross Links - Link to on topic content across your web site. If a web page is about games, then make sure it links to PS2 games and Xbox games web page. Web pages shouldn't be no more then 3 clicks away from the home page. They should be close to the root as possible.

Submission - Once you have insured you have done all the above, you can submit to the search engines, such as Google, Yahoo!, MSN and Ask Jeeves. Really, if you get enough backlinks you won't need to submit to any of them and instead they will find you. There is some debate that submitting to the search engines instead of letting them find you can hurt your ranking, so you may choose to sit back and let them find you. Also note, that by submitting will not speed it up any and in fact the fastest way to get in the index, is by getting backlinks.

Making Online Article Marketing Work for a Brick and Mortar Business

You have a brick and mortar business in an outstanding location with good signage and an effective advertising program. So why would you write articles for the internet? There are a number of good reasons to use internet articles as part of your marketing mix.

First, it's effective it's easy and it's no cost. And once even one article is out there it's available for people all over the world to read anytime, any day. And if your product is shippable there is no reason not to have an international business.

Second, articles position you as an expert in your field. This may not seem as important in a retail business but people like to know that they're buying from the best, no matter what they are buying. The easiest way to position yourself or your business is to be published. And published is published whether it is on paper or on the internet.

Third, articles help you build an email mailing list that you can then use to do email promotions - locally, if that is your preference. Or internationally if you have a digital product or sell things that are shippable. Once people have opted-in on this list, they are more predisposed to buy what you sell than people on a list acquired any other way.

To illustrate what an article writing campaign might look like for a brick and mortar business, let's imagine you have a decorative glass business in northern Virginia. Here are some ideas of articles to write to drive people to your website, and we've barely gotten started.

7 ways to use decorative glass in your home

Creating a welcoming entrance to your house with decorative glass

Custom furniture that includes decorative glass

Stained glass window - using decorative glass to enhance your home

How to enhance your kitchen with decorative glass door inserts

If you are specializing in working with architects and interior decorators as well as homeowners, being positioned as an expert is certainly a plus for your business.

Article Marketing - Announcing 6 Comprehensive Secrets to Supercharge Your Article Marketing

As the internet becomes more and more popular, the demand for information-based marketing techniques (such as writing and distributing articles) has increasingly grown. Today, it is considered as one of the best methods in driving targeted clients to websites and converting them into buyers.

1. Bank on your content. Your primary goal in writing and submitting articles on publishing sites is to entice your readers to click on your resource box. The best way to achieve that is by giving online users great content that showcases your knowledge on your chosen field. When your potential clients feel that you are really good on what you do, they are most likely to trust you and take your recommendations.

2. Write more. As you know, the number of your submissions equate to the number of inbound links that you can obtain for your website. The more articles you write and submit, the greater your chances of improving your traffic and page ranking.

3. Optimize your content. Identify the keywords and key phrases that are usually used by your target market when they are using search engines. Incorporate these keywords on your content to make your articles highly searchable online.

4. Check on your progress. Make it a habit to check the performance of your articles at least once a week. Identify the articles that are generating impressive click through rates and learn the elements that make them successful online. Incorporate these elements to your other articles that are seldom read.

5. Proofread. Any error found on your articles can be a threat against your online credibility and professionalism. Thus, it is of out most importance that you manually check your articles before you post them online.

6. Submit to the best publishing sites. Pick article submission sites that have steady traffic and indexed by major search engines. These are the only sites that can help you realize your article marketing goals.

Images and Search Engine Optimization

Keywords to images are just as important in your Search Engine Optimization process as keywords to content. Many forget about images, thinking only textually when considering the Search Engine Optimization process.

Image to Keyword Marriage

When you think of images and websites- you may assume as many that the purpose of an image is to add a little aesthetic beauty to your site. It can and it does, but images can do much more.

Labeling your Images

If you have a catalog or Ecommerce site it can identity the product or service to the visitor and to the search engine. With the proper label the visitor can, of course, identify what the product is, as can a search engine. But you should also identify your image within your coding as well.

With proper labeling of your images with the "alt" tag, along with a visual front-end caption you will give yourself a better chance of getting your images/content indexed by the search engines.

If you do have a lot of pictures, it is also wise to use thumbnails where possible. This will help to speed up your load time, for those with slower Internet connections. On the Internet, people seem to be a little more in a hurry-and will not hesitate to click the mouse to move on to another site.

In fact, some directory sites are becoming more image-based, giving the person an image to look at, before sending them to the site.

Note: Be aware that there are image-based robots that can hit your site. Their purpose may be to scrape your site of images, and while doing so, steal your bandwidth. If you find a strange robot hitting your site, it is always wise to do a Google search on the robot in question. If the robot has any scruples at all, they will have a website stating who they are, what they are doing, and if their robots are not behaving to your liking, how you can stop their robot from visiting.

Accessibility

Here is another reason for identifying your images-through alt tags, captions and labels- it's called accessibility. It is not only the sighted that will view your site, but the unsighted as well.

For example, some of the software used by blind individuals are, Text-to-speech software. And, the text-to-speech software does utilize "alt tag" for images, as well as properly named links. So, if you're not utilizing the alt tag, you're missing out on a ready market.

To conclude, images can be asset to your site, not only giving you the aesthetic look that you want, but also helping you to reach a large visitor base, and just as importantly, making your image site search engine friendly.

Article Marketing - Using Articles To Maintain Customers And Bring In New Business

Targeting a customer base allows for more consistency in your planning, so you should consider the use of articles to appeal to a specific audience. It is usually better to have a steady base subscriber or client pool than to have to market blindly with every new release, so use article marketing to build a core of customers. You need good articles, and whether you contract writers or write articles yourself, never forget that their purpose is to improve or create sales or subscriptions

So now you have a relatively steady pool of clientele - now what? In order to keep them coming back to your business again and again, you have to keep them involved in the happenings of the business. If you provide subscribers with involving information regularly, they will remain customers. But if they recognize your articles as uninteresting "fluff," they probably will lose interest in your company. Frequently providing customers with free gifts that are exclusive to your clients will keep you connected to your client base and improve customer relations. This is also a great way to keep clients informed about new offers, alterations in products or policies, or any other changes in your business that they will want to know about. Article marketing does all of this very well.

Just because you have taken steps to try to keep your existing customers, does not mean that you can ignore the possibility of gaining new customers. Use article marketing to entice new customers with a free gift or reward for subscribing to your web site or service. This is a good way to let them know you value their business and want to reward them for their support. Free articles are great for promotions and are very effective for the cost. These articles can promote your products while also providing useful and valuable information to your subscribers. It's a great tool that you should definitely consider.

The Importance of SEO

Search engine optimisation, SEO, is one of the vital aspects of any website, but it is often overlooked or neglected. A website may look beautiful, the systems may be flawless, but with no visitors, it is a waste. SEO is the process of getting visitors, traffic and ultimately business to your website, primarily through achieving high rankings for your web site on search terms with high volume.

Studies have shown that Internet searchers are a notoriously impatient bunch. Almost 82% of all searchers do not go beyond the first 30 results. More than 60% don't go beyond the first 10 results. If your website is not in the top ten, you are missing out on over 60% of your potential clients. This can prove to be a very costly exercise. Even if you are happy with the traffic you get to your website, and let's say it's 40%. You can get an extra one and a half times that quantity of visitors and business or more as the result of an effective SEO campaign.

There is always advertising available as an option, but that is substantially less effective and more costly. On Google, 70% of searchers prefer the natural results to advertisements. Say the term your site is optimised for has 100 searches a day, and you are in position 12. You'll only get 40% of your potential visitors. If you're in position 21, you'll get about 25%. Position 31 and you'll get less than 19%. If you are number 1, you'll get 100 of them. If you buy an advertisement, you'll get 30% and you pay for each visitor. The moment you stop paying, you stop getting visitors. An SEO campaign on the other hand lasts for years. Once you are at the top, it takes a lot to move you down the results. As such, SEO is the most cost-effective and efficient method of marketing your website.

You also need your site to rank well for the correct keyword or search phrase. One of my favourite examples comes from research I have conducted into the job industry as part of an SEO campaign. The term "search jobs" has 21 searches a day. The term "job search" has over 6000. Number 1 for "search jobs" will give you 21 visitors. Number 1 for "job search" though will give you 6000. Choosing the right keywords is an important part of any SEO campaign.

How do you target the site towards a specific search phrase or keyword? By having the keyword in the title tag, the description and in the content. It should also be in the anchor text of links pointing to that site. If you are in a reciprocal link exchange, and the link to your job site is the name of your company, that is far less effective at promoting your website than a link saying "job search - company name." It's a simple step and seemingly obvious, but many website owners do not do that and their site suffers in it's ranking as a result.

With the right proportion of the key word in relation to your content and sufficient inbound links with the right anchor text, your website can become the number 1 site for that term. There is more to SEO than just that, but those are the 2 essential factors. Without good content, or links, your website will never rank well and will never bring in all the business it could. Amazing Article Marketing - Revealed - 4 Phenomenal Ways to Explode Your Article Marketing

What they say is true: the success of your article marketing campaign relies on the content of your articles. If you are able to provide your readers with information that they will find useful, entertaining, and worth reading, you will not only be able to establish your credibility online but most importantly, you will generate more inbound links as you can be assured that your articles will be picked up and widely republished.

1. Consider your target market. Get to know the people to whom you are writing for before you write your articles. Identify their age, economic status, online behavior, level of comprehension, their needs, demands, and pressing issues. Knowing these can help you customize your content so they will be focused and targeted to the needs of your potential clients.

2. Make your articles scannable. People can easily get thrown when presented with lengthy article that doesn't contain page breaks. They prefer articles that contain subheadings, bullet points, or numbered lists as they are easy on the eyes and easier to skim through.

3. Write more. Never be contented with the number of your articles online. Strive to write more to give your website more traffic and more inbound links. If you are running out of topic ideas, I suggest you visit related forums or article submission sites. You can also subscribe to the RSS feeds of bloggers or webmasters who are writing for your target niche.

4. Pack your articles with valuable information. The fastest way to lose your potential clients is to present them with articles that are filled with fillers and nonsense data. To keep you readers interested, make sure that your content offers the kind of information they need. Something that they will consider truly useful and valuable.

Article Marketing For Better Search Engine Ranking

The key elements to obtaining a higher ranking at major search engines are:

1.Valuable, regularly updated and Search Engine friendly content. This inclusive of the first stages of design, assignment of proper tags and keywords, and web page content, for both humans and Search Engines to read.

2.And the quantity and quality of links, preferably one-way, pointing back to your website.

To Search Engines, a well-linked web site has more value than those with less or none at all. Search Engines tend to rank websites with higher number of quality incoming links (links found at other web pages with high ranking that would direct clicks to your web site).

One way increase your web site's incoming links is through article marketing. It is a marketing strategy that has been more popular in its online advertising form. By doing article marketing, the author or company gains authority or have their expertise make known within the market that they are operating in. The marketer provides valuable information on a certain niche in the form of articles. These articles are then freely distributed to different article directories.

Article Marketing entails time and knowledge or money. Businesses owners/ professionals could also opt to do the writing themselves if they lack the money. Having the money, and not so much time or having poor English, a company or professional could choose to hire ghostwriters who would be willing to give up copyright of their work for a price. Or it could also work with the combination of the factors given depending on what suits the entrepreneur best.

The key to getting articles accepted by the directories are quality content, no advertisement in the article body and no links or if any, just those directed to helpful resources. You also have to work on a resource box that urges the reader to take action to gain business leads.

In need of a ghostwriter? Settle for nothing but the best, even on a budget. Why wait?

Residual Income: The Key To Making A Full Time Online Income

For many online marketers earning a full time income is the ultimate goal. It is not an easy task but it can be accomplished as long as you apply this one simple strategy along with all your hard work. You will discover what most savvy marketers already know, the major key to making a full time income is quite obvious: "Residual Income".

Just as the name states, residual income means you make one sale and you earn follow up income automatically for months, years or sometimes even for decades after you make the initial sale. It almost sounds too good to be true but residual income does exist and thousands of online marketers are reaping the rewards.

It is a pure marketing strategy which makes perfect business sense. Why utilize all your marketing resources to make one sale and receive one payment, when you can just as easily use the same resources to make a sale and then receive repeat payments for years down the road? The beauty of residual income comes from being rewarded for your hard efforts again and again. One sale can equal long term income for years.

The Internet makes earning residual income possible for everyone. Stay at home moms, the college student, the part-time worker... you name it, anyone can earn a residual income on the Internet.

Why is this now possible?

Because the Internet has opened up a whole stampede of companies and services looking for clients and customers. Services that once were only offered locally before the advent of the web, but are now being offered globally to a world wide consumer base.

Unfortunately, as many companies have discovered, the competition has also increased a million fold as this new marketplace has opened up. Competition for acquiring clients and customers has become a lot stiffer mainly because companies don't just have to compete locally anymore but globally. It's the new global economy.

With competition so fierce many companies and businesses will offer a premium reward for anyone who can acquire or find clients/customers for their company's products and services. Many will even offer residual income for as long as the client or account stays with that company.

Enter the Affiliate Marketer: You!

Affiliate marketing is tailor made for the Internet. Millions of webmasters have millions of sites attracting millions of visitors each day. These sites relate to a particular niche or subject matter that attract targeted visitors interested in the same topic. All any webmaster has to do is join an affiliate program related to their site's topic and promote this affiliate company or business to their visitors.

Just connect the Dots.

The smart webmaster or online marketer will only seek out affiliate programs or companies which will give them residual payments for finding clients or accounts for those company's services or products. This marketing strategy has proven very lucrative for those webmasters/marketers who are taking advantage of these residual revenue streams.

Here are some pointers on how to make this strategy work to your advantage.

* Affiliate Networks. Use very reputable Affiliate Networks like Commission Junction, LinkShare, ShareaSale... these programs offer a whole range of Top 500 companies that you can promote. I find CJ and LinkShare to be extremely reliable, with excellent tracking and prompt payment.

* Private Deals. However, the most lucrative rewards and residual income can come with private or individual deals you make with a particular company. My experience, if you manage to attain top rankings for the top keywords in a particular industry these companies will come to you with a private deal. Your job is to acquire or find clients/accounts for that company and receive a commission or percentage of all revenue this client generates for the life of that account.

* Smaller Companies. Sometimes it is the smaller less known company in your particular industry or niche that will offer the best deal. It may be harder to promote a lesser known company but the rewards may even be greater.

* Cookies. Keep in mind, another version of residual income is the good old cookie; you refer a customer to a company and this customer is cookied with your affiliate id... any sales made from your cookied referral will earn you money. Check the length of these cookies, some are 24 hours, 90 days... the longer the better. I seek out companies which give life-long cookies, they are rare but they do exist!

* Major Point: The key to picking the best affiliate programs for residual income is picking companies that offer services like web hosting, phone services, cable services, marketing services... anything that people sign-up for and then rarely change. This will earn you a monthly commission for as long as they use this service. I am presently earning commissions on sales I made 4 or 5 years ago.

* Use PPC. Pay Per Click advertising can be a very effective way of kick-starting your residual income if you know what you're doing. This form of advertising can get very costly very quickly so proceed with caution. I found even with a low conversion rate and a high cost per click charge you can bid higher with a residual income affiliate program because it is not a one time sale. You can afford to outbid your competition, but don't try for the number one position; I have found the best place to have your PPC ad is in the third spot.

* Never Put All Your Eggs In One Basket. Don't just promote one affiliate company or service, instead spread your marketing over difference services and companies to earn multiple streams of residual income from different sources. If one should dry up, you will have plenty of others to rely on. Besides, getting 10 or 20 monthly checks will always put a smile on your face. Trust me!

Of course, there are many more factors involved in producing a full time residual online income but these points will help get you started in the right direction. Don't get the wrong impression, this income won't just suddenly appear, you do have to do some hard work marketing and promoting your chosen affiliate companies or services to make the initial sales. But the rewards are very sweet, and they just keep coming and coming and coming...
