Productive Article Marketing - 5 Amazing and Powerful Steps to Advance with Article Marketing

One of the crucial elements in marketing your business and products over the internet is gaining the trust of your potential clients. Right now, the best way to make people to trust you online is to establish your expertise so people will treat you as an authority on your chosen niche.

Here are the 5 amazing steps to advance with article marketing:

1. Create keyword-rich articles. Before you tap on your key board, do a keyword analysis first. Identify the common search terms that are being used by your target market when they look for information online. Create one article for every major keyword so you can effectively cover all issues that are affecting your target niche.

2. Leave no stone unturned. By this, I mean discussing your topics thoroughly by presenting all important information that can help your readers better understand your topics.

3. Bank on your content. The success of your article marketing campaign largely depends on the quality of your articles. You will generate favorable responses from your readers if you can provide them the information they need and if your articles are well-written.

4. Increase your conversation rate by using powerful resource box. Most publishers will allow you to include a resource box at the end of your articles. Take advantage of this and promote your business and yourself as an expert on your chosen field. Make sure that your call to action is powerful enough to move your readers to click on your website's URL.

5. Be consistent. Don't stop writing and submitting your articles online even after you have generated enough traffic to your website. Remember, the more articles you write and submit, the more money you will generate for your ebusiness.

What to Keep in Mind About Keywords

When building a new website, its really not enough to just whip up a site and let it be, hoping for hoards of traffic to arrive and purchase your products and services. In order to get indexed by the search engines, and in order for people to find our websites, we must generate good keywords. Once we create a list of keywords that people might use to find our sites, there are a few more important steps to consider.

Its not just about generating a list of keywords and using those keywords on your site. We have to find the right keywords, and by that, I mean keywords that are closely related to your sites content. If you own a website about how to make a good residual income online, then use specific keywords such as residual income that people are likely to search. Once youve found keywords like this that are likely to be searched though, you have to do your research, and look for terms that are not the most highly searched and popular, but that people might still search. You can do this using one of the many keyword search tools available on the net today. This will tell you how popular or not your search term is. If you choose keywords say above 2000 searches per month and less than 30000 searches per month, you are probably choosing a decent keyword that can get you the results you seek. Make sure you dont just choose keywords once and leave them alone forever. Every month or so, check your keywords and their popularity, and make modifications as required.

Next, you want to include those keywords in various parts of your website so that the search engines can find them when they spider your site. The first place to consider using your keywords is right in the title tag headline of your site. Do this for all of your website pages, not just the main page. You can also place your keywords in your header, alt, anchor tags, bold and italic tags, body, URLs, file names, and meta tags. Be careful not to plug up your site with these keywords though, or you will get penalized by the search engines and get the opposite result of what you want. Its more important to have solid, quality content on your site than it is to pack your site with keywords. Its good to repeat your keywords, but not too much. You only have to use your keywords once in each tag, and especially near the top of your pages. You can actually use the words repeatedly with the body text, as long as youre not over-doing it, and the words are highly relevant.

One way that you can get ahead of your competitors and the similar keywords they use for their sites is by using two or three word phrases rather than single keywords that are searched more often. Look at your competitors source code when you view their sites and notice what keyword phrases they are using or not using, and what tags they have that contain or do not contain important keywords. If their sites are lacking in some way, you can gain an edge on them by doing what they have not. You should also keep tabs on your own website statistics by finding out what keywords your website visitors are using to find your site. That way you will know which keywords generate the most hits and which you should be using more or less of. If you follow these tips and ensure your site has quality content on all of its pages, you will have competitors trying to get ahead of you!

Online Article Writing - Giving the Reader Confidence in Your Expert Status

If you write online articles it is important to relate to the reader that you truly know what you are talking about and give them confidence in your expert status. There are many ways to do this and it is best to let it ride or leave it subtly implied. It is best to show them not tell them, although telling them might also be a good idea. For instance after writing 11,111 articles online I am an expert in online article writing and therefore you as a reader might learn quite a bit from me.

This is one way to work into the article the fact that you know what you are talking about. Recently this subject became a very popular subject at the top online article submission website on the Internet, when some asked on the Blog:

What do you do to give the reader confidence that you are the expert, the authority on the topic?

Generally, if you speak from an authoritative voice and talk "matter of factly" the reader will get the idea pretty quick that you hit the subject matter head on and get right into the juicy stuff without delay or a lot of wordy fluff. When I write an article this is what I do and it has indeed worked for me with over 4.3 million article views on one website alone, without counting all the syndicated article views.

Of course it goes without saying that you need to know your subject matter or you should not be discussing the topic at all in my humble opinion. If you know what you are talking about it should show and it is your job to show them with substance, an authoritative voice and a clear direction. Your expert status should be obvious.

How to Make Money From Bum Marketing

It is not difficult to make money from bum marketing once you know what it is. It is a new term that is said to have originated from somebody claiming that even a penniless bum could make money using it. I wish that were true, because I would immediately go on the road for a while and then try to use bum marketing to make money. However, it is just somebody trying to be different and use a new name for an old technique.

In fact, it is another name for article marketing. What the theory states is that even a bum must know something about something; at least enough to start up a website. Fill the site with content on your niche, based on a few good keywords, and then write a few articles to drive traffic to the site. In fact, all of that is quite possible, and is the way that many people have made their fortunes in internet marketing.

The key is getting a good niche, and getting good keywords around which to build your web pages. There is plenty software around to allow you to do that, and once you have a few pages on your website with reasonable content, you can start marketing it and then monetize it. You might think that is the wrong way round, and it should be monetized first, but that would be a mistake. First, start advertising your website for the content it contains. You can put products on the site later.

You will ultimately do better that way than if you jump right in with a website full of products. Provide good and useful content, and add the products later. Now comes the bum part. The crux of bum marketing is writing articles. If you write two or three articles every week on the subject of your website then you will get traffic, and you will get valuable links back to your web pages from highly ranked pages. The traffic and the links are important.

After a week or so check your listing in Google. If you are listed at all, it doesn't matter where, than start to add products to your website. Keep writing articles, but lead your readers to the content pages on your website rather to the product pages. Your visitors will get to the products themselves when they are ready to purchase, so don't force them. You can lead them to any page you want by using links in your Author's Resource box that most article directories allow. Those that don't provide an actual box allow you to add the links at the end of the article.

The links you provide should direct the reader to a page on your website that provides more information on the subject of the article they have just been reading. That means 'more information. And not the same information. You have to expand on what information your article provided, and then provide link on your web page to a product or sales page.

That is the theory. For most, however, it does not work like that. They are unfamiliar with the technique needed to write a good article, and to make people want to click through to their website. Article writing is actually a skill, and it is little wonder that so many are being refused by the directories. Many lack even basic grammar, let alone an obvious lack of knowledge about how spell checkers work. So here are some tips on how to make bum marketing work for you.

First, get a good niche. Make it something you really know something about. Most people know about something, and you will be surprised at the type of niches from which people make money. Arts and crafts, knitting, quilting, oral hygiene, how to get a date, how to play football, losing weight, putting on weight, lighthouses, pirates and cheating at video games. Anything goes: people make money from anything and everything.

Secondly, get a good web host, not a cheapo. Get one that gives you autoresponders and email addresses, subdomains, and a checkout and payment system and traffic analysis. Pay about $25 monthly if you can afford it. Then design you site well, so that it will get listed by the search engines. Write each page based on one keyword phrase.

Then write articles. Spell check often, and use a grammar checker if you have one. Get somebody else to read it over - but somebody that is a good English speaker. Let them fix any mistakes in spelling and grammar then submit the article to as many directories as possible. Wait a day or two then put your products on your website.

The write another few articles, each one based on a different page of your website. Submit them to article directories and keep doing this. You should soon notice a difference in your traffic, and you should start to sell some products. You can the change your marketing strategies to suit the pages that most people are visiting on your website.

You can make money from bum marketing if you are able to write, but if you cannot, then the way how to overcome that is to have them ghost written or to have a friend check the article over for you.

Article Marketing - The Ugly Truth About Getting Thousands Of Visitors To Your Website!

Are you just starting your online marketing adventure? If yes, you are going to discover the best way to write killer articles that earn you a nice and steady income all during the year.

Do you want to find out a simple and effective method to build a list of thousands of subscribers, drive hordes of traffic to your website and make sales in the front and backend?

It's easy, just write short articles and give them away. That's it.

Writing articles and giving them away for free is the best thing you can do for your business. It's a short and long term strategy.

1. Short term strategy

Whenever you submit your articles to the top directories such as ezine articles, article dashboard and buzzle, you will get instant traffic. Once your articles are approved, you will receive visitors and many of them will click on the link that you put in your bio box.

What is a bio box?

It's the "about the author" byline. If you have a website about forex, you could write a bio box like this:

"John Doe is the owner of the powerful Forex trading software. To discover how you can earn thousands of dollars trading currency exchange, download his free report - How to generate 180 pips every single day on complete autopilot - today!"

Anyone reading your article and interested in the forex market will want to click to learn more.

2. Long term strategy

After a while, your article will only get a few visitors a month from the directory itself, but here come the good news. Your traffic will come from the search engines like Google, Yahoo and msn.

Plus the publishers who added your articles to their web pages will also drive traffic to your site for years to come.

Do you see how powerful it is? And even better, this traffic generation method is ultra cheap. You don't even need to pay a cent.

Making Sense of Marketing Models

Marketing can be bewildering for busy small business owners who wear many hats and are aiming to figure out the most effective marketing strategies while managing their day-to-day businesses. Daily we are bombarded with marketing messages from all directions-television, radio, SMS, internet and print media. The marketing messages may reach us via solicited or unsolicited (spam) channels.

Research on the internet reveals a multitude of marketing models and techniques, each claiming to be the best and most cost-effective one. There is Telemarketing - Bum Marketing - Niche Marketing -- Metaphor Marketing - Guerrilla Marketing - Ambush Marketing - Fusion Marketing and Alliance Marketing to mention a few. Not surprising, more and more people complain about having too much information and choices vs having too little. A working definition of the Marketing Models is provided at the end of this article.

How do you respond to this avalanche of information? Do you feel overwhelmed and do nothing? Or do file the information away for review when you have more time? Maybe that time never comes and you end up not making the decision that could support your business growth.

Marketing Models - What do they have in common?

In its essence marketing models are a contest for your attention or the attention of your potential clients! They simply can be divided into Permission Marketing and Interruption Marketing Models.

Internet marketing pioneer and founder of Permission Marketing, Seth Godin says, "Advertising just doesn't work as well as it used to - in part because there's so much of it, in part because people have learned to ignore it, in part because the rise of the Net means that companies can go beyond it...we are entering an era that's going to change the way almost everything is marketed to almost everybody." This was in 1999. And while marketing with the rise of the Net has changed, the philosophy of permission marketing is as relevant to small business owners today as it was then.

Mass marketing, based on the Interruption Model, has become less effective because there's too much going on in our lives for us to enjoy being interrupted anymore. Interruption Marketing, however, is still extremely effective when there is not an overflow of interruptions. No doubt, you have your own thoughts and feeling about having your favorite TV show interrupted several times by an advert or your family dinner by Telemarketing calls, or your email inbox overflowing with spam emails. Is it possible that your potential clients have similar thoughts and feelings about your marketing strategy?

The challenge for marketers, Godin argues, is to persuade consumers to volunteer attention - to "raise their hands -- to agree to learn more about a company and its products." This makes perfect sense. He calls the new model "Permission Marketing" because it is built around permission. Permission marketing, he claims, "turns strangers into friends and friends into loyal customers."

Readers' Digest use permission marketing by giving the consumer an opportunity to win prizes in their Sweepstakes in return for the permission to send marketing literature. Another example is your subscription to newsletters.

In the United Kingdom opt-in is required for email marketing, under The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. This came into force on the 11 December 2003.

Reflect and Act Marketing is a crucial aspect of your business success. If you are like most small business owners you will want to invest your marketing dollar wisely to maximize your marketing results. Permission Marketing is a powerful "be-in-touch, stay-in-touch" targeted relationship building strategy.

To get a better understanding of the effectiveness of your marketing strategies, I invite you to reflect on the following questions:

1. Am I maximizing my marketing opportunities?

2. Do my marketing efforts focus on the segment of the market that is likely to do business with me?

3. Are my marketing strategies based on the Permission Model or the Interruption Model?

4. How do potential clients perceive my marketing strategies? Do they welcome them? Do they create overwhelm?

5. How effective are my current marketing strategies?

6. What is the return on my marketing investment?

7. What is the most effective marketing strategy I can implement today?

To find out how consumers perceive your marketing strategies, I invite you to develop a five question questionnaire to conduct a mail or phone survey of 10-25 potential clients. Awareness is power when combined with effective action.

Marketing Models: Working Definitions

Alliance Marketing: "It's about developing a well-oiled strategy between companies who are doing business with the same prospects on a daily basis but are not competing with each other. It's a strategy that leverages each company's strengths and database for each other while yielding major results at the end of the day." - Matt Tommey

Ambush Marketing - "A deliberate attempt by a business or brand to associate itself with an event in order to gain some of the benefits associated with being an official sponsor without incurring the costs of sponsorship. - Blah La Word Press

Bum Marketing: Also known as article marketing.

Fusion Marketing: Is tying your marketing efforts in with the effort of others. It is a make-everybody-wealthy marketing tactic known in Japan and by guerrillas worldwide. It is also known as Collaborative Marketing. - Jay Conrad Levinson

Guerrilla Marketing: Is high impact low cost marketing.

Interruption Marketing: as the name indicates that each and every marketing strategy interrupts what potential customers are doing in order to get them to think about the marketing message. - Seth Godin

Metaphor Marketing: Is essentially Brand Marketing.

Niche Marketing: Is concentrating all marketing efforts on a small but specific and well defined segment of the population

Permission Marketing: As the name indicates, consumers need to grant you permission to send messages.

Telemarketing: Is marketing conducted via the medium of the telephone.

Writing articles has been one of my key lead generating marketing strategies and has allowed me to effectively promote my e-zine and gain a ton of new subscribers. But how can writing a few short articles make an impact on your business? Begin by submit your articles to OTHER people's e-zines.

This is where online (information) marketing is at its best. Once you've written a few articles you can go on to recycle those articles and have them published within other people's e-zines and on numerous other websites across the Internet.

Never has there been such a simple way to take the legwork out of marketing. Article submission is by far the most EFFECTIVE, FASTEST and FREE way to promote your e-zine effectively ... and promote your products and services too.

What Are The Benefits of Using Articles to Promote Your Business?

1. Build Credibility

Firstly articles provided your clients and prospects with free valuable information. It enables you to demonstrate your expertise, introduce your readers to the way you work and provide them with details of the type of services, products and programs you offer.

2. Promote Yourself

It's considered perfectly acceptable practice to provide a resource box at the bottom of each article. This provides an opportunity to promote yourself and your e-zine, but do beware not to put too much emphasis on your 'business' though. Focus on promoting your free e-zine first. Once you have people signed up to your list you've then captured them and will be able to tell them more about your products and services at a later date.

3. Gain Massive Exposure

You can quickly gain a mass of online exposure to THOUSANDS of untapped prospects at one time. For example, in recent weeks I submitted an article to a free online publication site and waited with baited breath to hear the outcome. I was absolutely overjoyed when the acceptance email came through and I learnt that the publication had thousands of subscribers! You can imagine; it wasn't long before I received an influx of new subscribers for my e-zine in direct correlation with that particular article.

4. Submit Your Article Directly to Niche Publishers

I recommend that you submit your articles directly to publishers who target a similar readership as you. For this you might like to try the Directory of Ezines who offers a reliable and credible list of e-zine publishers that target the same niche as you.

Recycling your articles and posting them on your own blog or website is a great way to drive traffic back to your site which may have not otherwise found its way there. Link Popularity - Buying Text Links on High Pagerank Websites

It is well known that major search engines rank your website based on the quantity and quality of links that are pointing to your site. Webmasters use various methods to increase their website's link popularity. One of them is using text links ads. These are ads that are very similar to newspaper's ads, without graphics. You just write a headline with a short description and include the link to your website. Visitors clicking on them are directly sent to your site. And obviously, the search engine spiders visiting those websites follow your link. And because these are one-way links (also called backlinks), they have a higher weight in the search engines's algorithms which determine your website's ranking.

The most important part of this method is to choose the website where you put your link. For obvious reasons, most webmasters prefer to place their links on highly ranked websites or directories. The higher the Pagerank of the website offering you a one-way link, the better for you. In fact, the most effective quality links are those placed on PR5 websites or higher.

Some webmasters buy text links at a monthly basis, what the advertisers call recurring billing. You place your inbound link on a high ranked website and you pay an agreed fee every month. This method has the disadvantage of tying you up for long i.e. if you don't pay your monthly bill, your link will be removed and you'll no longer have the benefit you were looking for in the first place: having a quality link pointing to your website from a high ranked website.

But there is nowadays another interesting alternative: some text links directories offer the possibility of placing your link with a one-off fee. You then have a permanent link to your website. No recurring billing! No link removal! And the most exciting feature is that those one-off payments can costs as little as $1-$5. This is a cheap and highly cost-effective method of increasing your popularity. Usually, webmasters who want their website to appear at prominent places, such as the homepage or the top of a category page, have to bid more than the others. They decide what they want to pay in order to appear where they want. A fair enough system, in my opinion.

How to identify such websites? Do as I did. Use Google. You can make a search via Google, using keywords such as -buy cheap text links- for example.

I hope that this article will be useful to those new webmasters who want to increase their link popularity.

Sim Mus is the owner of a making money online via internet marketing website. He recently discovered a PR5 - Web Directory specialised in high quality and cheap text links ads and is as always more than happy to share his experience as internet marketer.

Free Content Articles Must Have These Four Things

Content is the new buzz word for websites today. The more content you have on your site the better the search engines rank you. Articles provide much of this content yet most busy webmasters and ezine editors do not have the time, or creativity, to draft articles. Your articles, if written correctly, fill their pages and drive traffic to your site, all at one time.

Free content articles have been known to be the driving force in driving traffic to a website. Articles are a factor in giving site high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets. With a huge number in traffic flow, there are more profits and more potential for other income generating schemes as well.

But, it is not just about stuffing your site with articles; they have certain requirements as well. These requirements must be met to obtain the maximum benefits an article will provide for your site. Well written ezine articles will catch the eyes and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more. They would also be able to recommend your site to others. This is called free traffic.

Here are some tips to help you and assist you in making your articles. Below you will read about four things all articles must have to make it successful and helpful in making your site a profit earning and traffic overflowing site.

Keywords and Keyword Phrases

Your website content article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for. It could be anything they want.

The Important thing is that you have a website article that has the keywords that are related to your site. For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able t have articles about cars and their parts. There are many tools in the internet that provides service in helping a webmaster out in determining what keywords and keyword phrases are mostly sought out.

Keyword Density

Know that you have your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article must have good keyword density for a search engine to "feel" its presence. Articles should at least have ten to fifteen percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article. An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as overeager. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

Web, Blog, or Ezine Article Content

Like what is stated above, you cannot saturate an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide good information and help for their needs. All articles written to be submitted to an article directory should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you. They will be able to trust you and your products.

Resource Box

The resource box, located on each article directory site for you to fill, allows you to introduce yourself and let the reader know why they should listen to you. If you have the option to upload your photo, do it. Readers will feel more comfortable with you because a photo creates familiarity. This is where you insert your text link back to your blog, website, or affiliate site. Choose a different page when directing readers to your website to create 'deep linking'.

When writing an article for submission as ezine content, web content, blog content or to be submitted to an article directory site you need to understand how the search engine's spiders work. The more of your content that relates to your keyword AND keyword phrases, without overdoing their density, the higher the search engines will rank your article not matter where it is published.

4 First Steps to Get Started With Article Marketing

The process of writing content-oriented articles on various subjects and then submitting them to various directories and web sites is article marketing. Writing an article can be profitable in terms of bringing traffic to your web site and advertising your products to certain extent. Here are first 4 steps to get started with article marketing.

The first step to get started with article marketing is to write a content oriented article. The article you write should be rich in keywords that are actually related to your products. Do not use the article as an endorsement of your product, instead write on the subject or theme based on your product or service.

The second step to get started with article marketing is to add your copyright to your article once you have finished the article. This is very important to guard your work. Putting a copyright notice at the end of each article is always a good practice.

The third step to get started with article marketing is to make proper use of the resource box or the authors box. Proper use of resource box can result in a profitable result. Give links to your web site in the resource box and also include a small description of your products here. You can also include a sign up box for visitors to build your lists.

The fourth step to get started with article marketing is to submit your article to the directories and web site that have good traffic. It is always good to submit the articles in more than one directory. If you have a business blog, make sure that you publish your article there too.

How To Increase the Sales Conversion Rate on Your Website

No wonder people get frustrated with the web. They wrack their brains trying to find a catchy and 'searchable' web URL, spend a fortune on web design, struggle with the web content, then think that just putting an online version of their brochure will do... And...nada. No sales. Sure, there might be plenty of traffic further down the line, but there are still hardly any sales... Help!

How do you turn this problem around, and start making your website work for you rather than against you?

First, lets look at what conversion is. In a nutshell, it is about turning (converting) visitors into paying customers.

The sad fact is that approximately 70% of people who are ready, willing and able to buy online don't complete the sale.

Many people concentrate on linking, PPC ads and other means of directing traffic to their websites, but, as youve probably experienced, getting people to your website is one thing. Getting people to buy from your site is another thing altogether.

Also, you have to make sure you are attracting the right kind of visitors in the first place. There is no point trying to sell pension policies to 17-year-olds, for example.

So, lets assume you are getting the right kind of people hitting your site. These people are looking for what you are offering. How do you convince them to buy from you?

For the sake of brevity, we will look quickly at copywriting which is essentially what your website is saying to your visitors. It is the words you use that essentially turn your products into cash

With a website you are completely depending on the power of your words to qualify visitors, present your sales pitch, close the sale and take the order.

All without scaring off your prospect.

Seemingly, there are many factors at play. But the main one is to always write with your target audience in mind that is, the very people you wish will become customers.

Think about what it is they want from your product or service (hint: have you asked your current customers why they bought from you, and no one else?). How does what you have make a difference in your customers lives? How does it make their life easier, better, richer? What is the true value of what you are offering? That kind of thing

And then you put an appealing picture in your readers head through simple yet clever and attractive words. Not any old words. mind. But rather those pertaining to your product and the needs, wants and/or desires of your prospects.

Here, you have to make sure you spell out the benefits of buying your product or service.

What you want here is not to sell your product or its features, but rather the ***solutions*** it offers your prospects.

OK, so lets assume you are more than happy that your web copy and content does this at least adequately. Still, are you certain you have removed any and all doubts and other barriers to making a purchase? Something as simple as not allowing an alternative way to make a purchase can mean the difference between sale and no sale.

Also, look at your web analytics tools. These will tell you where your visitors leave, which pages they look at, for how long, etc.

You could try changing the headline on one of your pages and test it to see if you are getting more conversions. This seemingly simple act has been known to increase conversions by up to 50% or even more.

Lucrative Article Marketing - Revealed - 6 Intriguing Secrets to Excel With Article Marketing

Most successful webmasters agree that their websites will not be as popular and well visited if they have not utilized article marketing. They consider this technique as an indispensable tool not only in product promotion but also in securing high ranking on major search engines.

Here are the 5 intriguing secrets to excel in article marketing:

1. Use attention-grabbing titles. To increase your clickthroughs, you have to make sure that your articles have intriguing and interesting headlines. What makes a great headline? It must be brief, direct to the point, keyword-rich, and it must be able to communicate the gist or summary of your articles.

2. Know the guidelines of most publishing sites and abide by them so your articles won't be rejected. Most article submission sites will not accept your articles if they contain blatant advertising, hyperlinks on the article body, have more than 3 URLs on the resource box, and if your articles are too short (less than 250 words) and contains inappropriate content.

3. Write articles that are relevant to what you are offering. Remember, you main goal in writing and submitting your articles is to sell your products. Thus, the best topics for your articles are the problems being faced by your target market so you can present your products as solution on your resource box.

4. Make sure that your articles are well-written. To give your readers great reading experience, make sure that your articles are easy to read, easy to understand, and flows well.

5. Pick the best publishing sites when submitting your articles. Go with articles submission sites that have high page ranking and frequently visited by online users.

6. Load your articles with relevant keywords. To make your articles easier to find online, make sure to insert keywords that are usually searched for by your potential readers.

Article Marketing Titles - Targeting Your Audience in Your Article Title

The next thing you want to think about is, what do people want to know about the topic. So, sticking to our big blue new toy example, what are some things that people want to know about it?

Notice that I ask, what are some things that people want to know about it, not what are some things you want people to know about it. That is a crucial distinguishment.

It is about the people reading the article, not about you. Give them what they want to read, not what you want them to read. Answer their questions, and then they will see you as an expert, and become likely to want to get more information from you.

So what are some things people might want to know about the big blue new toy?

How about:

How fast is it?

How big is it?

How much is it?

How many are available?

Where can I find one?

How does it work?

Now there are certainly many more, but for the sake of space and repetitiveness, I will use those as examples.

So what are some titles I can create, using these questions:

Take a look:

Big Blue New Toy - How fast is the Big Blue New Toy?

Big Blue New Toy - How big is the Big Blue New Toy?

Big Blue New Toy - How much is the Big Blue New Toy?

Big Blue New Toy - How many of the Big Blue New Toy are available?

Big Blue New Toy - Where can I find the Big Blue New Toy?

Big Blue New Toy - How does the work Big Blue New Toy?

So you can see that just using the basic questions people might ask and the keyword phrase itself, I have created a number of article titles that are going to rank in the search engines quite highly.

Internet Marketing - Are You Doing The Big Four?

Internet marketing is confusing, especially if you are a beginner. About the time you think you have a direction and you get to work, the next bright shiny object comes along. Web 2.0, social networking, video marketing, podcasts, blogs... it's endless.

Pretty soon you are spinning in circles wondering just how to market. What do you do and when do you do it? Let's get back to basics: If you aren't doing the Big Four of Internet Marketing, then you had best start there. Can I be more clear? DO THE BIG 4 FIRST!!!

What are the BIG FOUR you ask?

Number 1: Joint Ventures. You got a product and they have a list, time to get together and promote. Your job is to locate and approach anyone who has a complimentary business. Remember, your competition isn't going to sponsor you.

Number 2: SEO, known as Search Engine Optimization. Get that website, sales page, squeeze page and blog spider friendly. The Search Engines such as Google are sending out their spiders (robots that read your webpages) to figure out which pages are the best of the web for each keyword. You better know how to talk to the spiders.

Number 3: PPC, also known as Pay Per Click. Ever notice those "Sponsored Links" on the right whenever you Google something? People pay to be there. PPC advertising is still one of the best ways to get folks to your webpage. After all, they went to Google for a reason.

Number 4: Article Marketing. Writing articles like this one turns out to still be one of the best ways to get in front of lots of people. You write a 350 to 500 word article and post it into appropriate article directories. Webmasters come along and post your article on their website. You now get a backlink to your website and you get in front of people who would not have seen you in any other way.

So if you are confused about what to do next in marketing your business, service or product, make sure you have a system in place that addresses, automates and implements each of the Big Four of Internet Marketing.

Marketing Strategies! It Is More Than Written Marketing Plans To Remain Competitive

To put in place an effective marketing strategies with a basic written marketing plans for your company not only need money but also resources. On the other hand, your marketing strategies need not be complicated to implement and it is far better to start with a simple written marketing plans that you can follow and modify where necessary.

All business people know they need marketing strategies to remain competitive but most are faced with the dilemma of dollar and time resources. Some even do not sure how to get started and the time to figure it out. To kick start, you must know where you are going - define your goals and then organize all those brilliant ideas into action plan. It is very important for SMEs to have very clear mind to remain competitive and at the same time maximize their investment.

Some SMEs with its limited resources may find executing a marketing plan tough if to go solo and should look into running marketing activities with partners that are complementary to the business to maximize costs and resources.

Alliances and co-marketing activities for SMEs not only cost-effective but also creates synergy as customers may get better and complete solutions to fulfill their needs. In this scenario, you may be able to broaden your reach to potential customers that are previously covered only by partners. This form of tie-up or alliances could be probably a "WIN-WIN" solution for the "not-so-rich" and / or resource poor SMEs.

Written Marketing Plans

Before we can move on to how to write our first marketing plans, we have to know what is often associated with your company by your customer. It is the "feel" associated with your company and in many ways your products or services and for small business owners, your personality attached to it. "Feel" is the way the phone is answered, the design of your printed materials, website and how you or company network in the community. It is all about reputation and an implied promise made to build trust, confidence and loyalty.

As you can see it cost very little for the "feel" effect but the challenges are how to convey a solid and professional image that a potential client may want to do business with you.

Step one - define your products or services in your plans.

Customer buying behavior is typically based on how your company product or service measure up to their immediate needs. Our strategy should be telling our potential customers the benefits and values of our products or services but too often we sell on functions and features. Good products or services have to address the needs of the customers by their values and not the functions or features.

Make a list of each product or service your company offer, and list each one the corresponding benefits to the consumer.

Write out a clear, precise Unique Selling Point (USP), describing how your company product or service differs from those of your competitors and always highlight its benefits and values. Customers are generally willing to pay more if they get the perceived values and benefits they want.

Step Two - write a detailed customer profile.

If your target audiences are the general consumers, list demographics: age, gender, lifestyle, location, preferences, interests, etc.

If you market to businesses, describe your ideal business client, include the size of company, number of employees, gross sales, location, etc.

Armed with valuable information, note how your products or services that can fit into their specific needs:

  • What do they want?
  • What concerns and challenges do they face, especially those your product addresses.
  • Buying behavior, seasonal patterns such as peak buying periods or slow times.
  • What's in it for them? Write a message directed specifically to your target customer and focus on the benefits.

Step Three - define specific and realistic strategies.

Decide which marketing strategies you will use, for example: networking, cold calling, mailings, advertising, website marketing, email marketing, promotional events etc.

List the pros and cons of each tactic and brainstorm the best tactics for each of the strategies you've selected. Workout and assign time and dollar resources for each strategy you've chosen.

Step Four - put your plans into ACTION

Jump-start your marketing action by selecting two or three you have brainstormed. Follow your plan, regularly review progress, track the results and modify where necessary. When something produces good results, stick with it and if it does not, stop or change.

Use different channels to test the best responses and cost- effectiveness. You have to keep reviewing your strategy by challenging yourselves to see if your marketing plans really fit the real world. Tracking results made good business sense.

Maximize Your Marketing Dollar

Maximizing our effort is about how we can be FOCUS to leverage on our products or services strength to gain the maximum return-of-investment (ROI). Focus is identifying your target and selecting a specific market niche. The narrower your niche, the more effectively you'll be able to communicate your message.

So your strategy should be focusing 80 percent of your effort and resources on the top 20 percent of your products or services that bring in 80 percent return of income. Slight variations accepted but 50 percent effort for bottom 20 percent of your products or services spell something wrong with your time and resource management. Remember, maximum marketing effort would yield highest possible return where as, half-hearted approach would not return you half but zero.

In summary, you must be ready to adapt to changes in your business environment and willing to work with other co-marketers to create synergy. Highlight the benefit and values of your most strategic products and services. Leverage on the strengths of different products and services.

If you do not know where to start marketing strategies, try working with some professional organizations, and some other associations that your potential customers may belong to.
